      I have use Stanley Steemer to routinely clean my carpets for more then a decade. We asked if they were able tk clean our wood plank floors, and they said that they could clean them. However, in the process, they stripped the floors and caused approximately $18,000 in damage, according to a Lipperts representative who inspected the damage. After inspecting the damage and speaking with the franchise owner, the Stanley Steemer manager said that they accept responsibility and would pay to have the floors repaired. Lipperts gave them a quote of $18,000 for the relain, and Stanley Steemer turned our estimate over to their insurance company who offered us approximately $5,000. We dont have the difference to repair the damage to our floors. I dont understand how a company can damage something, take ownership of the damage, but then not pay the reasonable amount quoted to repair the damage. This is a small community, and I believe that potential customers should know that the local office of Stanley Steemer does NOT stand behind their work financially.
