      This healthcare facility charged me an $80 fee for rescheduling an appointment, even though it was clear that not only do they not have a stated rescheduling fee - they only have a cancellation policy- not a rescheduling policy, but the person on the line when I rescheduled knowingly rescheduled me to another open appt. even though I told her that I could go to the appt. however I would prefer a different date/time when she called to remind me of the appt. I originally rescheduled one appointment and for the $80 fee to be waved because it was the first time and then when they called me to remind me of the appt. I told them that I could go however I would prefer another date/time, the person on the line told me that we couldn't reschedule to another month or it would be an $80 fee, so I said okay then I'll be at the appt. We hung up the phone and then she called me back to tell me that there was another appt. that just opened up a week or so away so I asked her to change it to that appt. At that time she should have told me that it was also going to be an $80 fee even though they don't have a rescheduling fee policy. She didn't tell me that or I would have shown up to the original appt. When I told all this to the operations manager she said that she would listen to the phone call and get back to me, she didn't call me back but instead sent me a 'Final' notice that we owed her $80. I called and paid the money just to ensure it didn't show up on my credit report however I still do not believe that I owe this money and they are just taking advantage of people who need more flexibility for appts. and charging them crazy expensive fees for not being able to stick to an appt. that they require you to set 6 months in advance. I don't know how they expect you to know what you're schedule is going to look like 6 months in advance, and you can only do your best to be at the appt. flexibility should be provided instead of an $80 fee.

      On 9/27/23 I went to Avenue Dental in ******* ** to have an extraction done. I was told my copay would be $249. I am on SS disability and on ******** and United Healthcare ******** advantage. I am 67 years old and cannot handle stress. At the conclusion of my extraction, they charged me another $164! I disputed it and lost. One month later I was sent a bill for $352 more! When I called them they said that was what was left after insurance paid. I was so upset. I called UHC directly. They said "we mailed them a letter on 10/4/2023 listing the bone graft notes requested to clear the claim and where to FAX it to. She called them and told them again what to send and where to FAX it to. NOTHING. Over the past 5 months they will not send this in to clear the claim. After being asked, begged by me, and asked by UHC directly 4 times!!! I got an email on 2/22/2024 stating "we've exhausted all attempts to reach your insurance company," This is a LIE. I was told directly by their staff, "we only send in X-rays, that's all we ever send in". So they are making the patients pay the remainder of money that they don't owe!!! I refused to pay this money because my claim is 100% covered with the bone graft notes that Avenue Dental refused to FAX in. She attached the so called "bone graft" notes dated 12/19/2023 (almost 3 months after my procedure), on the email that showed they EMAILED this bogus document to an EMAIL that is not active for this. They were told "4" times what to send and how to FAX it in. Upon calling UHC they said "other than X-rays, all notes are to be FAXED ONLY that is the only way they have ever done it" THAT PROVES THEY DON'T HELP THE PATIENT! THEY WOULD KNOW THIS IF THEY ACTUALLY PRACTICED HONEST DENTAL CARE!!I am desperate for help. I had overheard an old woman crying due to an unexpected $1.200 they told her she owed after insurance. "We can put you on a payment plan" that is their answer. NOT to help the patient with the problem. I spent 5 months begging them to send in these notes. BUT NOTHING. I am under **************** with anxiety meds due to this stress,. AND NOW THEY ARE SENDING ME TO COLLECTIONS FOR MONEY I DON'T OWE!!! On Yelp, the reviews are telling. This is a class action suit waiting to happen. Someone needs to stop them!! And make them pay. 2 years ago I had an extraction and had to pay out of pocket $1,000. I trusted them. N
