I enclosed word documents explaining the issue. I had paid Victorian Visions, (through The Robert's Mansion) (receipt enclosed), $610.40 for 4 days to stay in their room in a rental room. I hadn't seen pictures of the occupancy. It was the highest cost for a room in *******, (to my knowledge, at the time.) I rented it two months in advance putting down payment to hold it of $152.60. My son was discriminated against and I was treated with disregard for our needs. I had to rent another motel room quickly. My business in ******* was put on hold. I only had 4-5 days to complete my mission. I want my money back for the horrible events that occurred. I was *** rushed to get out and I was lied about saying I threatened ******* with violence. ******* called the police on me for just crumpling a piece of paper I handed back and I said, Give this to ****. I have known *********************, owner, in the past. I worked for her parents and worked in the Robert's Mansion. So, to have the police to be called to say I was violent, not respecting my 4-day stay, is over the top with discrimation and untrue facts. I told ******* my son was disabled and traumatized over the tub. The television didn't work for 24 hours in a 2-day span. I had a ragged blanket on my bed and it put lint all over my black clothes. I was expected to use a nasty tub with overflowing heavy burlap curtains for a shower curtain. I would've stayed and tried to use the tub as a bath. But my son wouldn't bathe. I was evicted with great detail as if played out on a stage. I never intended to use violence. I told ******* (person who evicted me) I'd worked with many landlords. I was trying to help my son who was traumatized. I was told to leave because the police were coming to ****** me out. My son was a witness to this event and became very upset. The condition of the room was less than satisfactory and I want a refund due to the unsatisfactory condition and threats made to us.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/07/2023

I will be mailing in a response.  I was on vacation so there was no way to respond in the limited days you requested.  I am very anxious to respond to the accusation, as the hundreds of guests and decades I have been in business have never resulted in an accusation like this!

    Complaint: 20107988       July 14, 2023, PO Box 773, *********, ** 54868  **************

I am rejecting this response because:

Regarding the Better Business Bureau Case with *******************, owner of The ********************** and temporary stay lodgings on Pacific Avenue, *******, **, and discrimination and ill treatment.
My answer to Mrs. ******* comment that she was on vacation, as follows: These are facts surrounding the eviction of the vacation stay in the **** W. Pacific unit, (I had paid to hold the unit for two months), regarding the threat of police to ****** my son and I out of the unit and the forced leave due to screaming threats from *******, I have responded earlier that I wanted a complete refund due to the fact I had a horrible stay what with my disabled son being traumatized by the ridiculous shower curtain on only half of a long bath tub. Together with that, we had paid an enormous sum, over $610, to stay in a unit less than 300 square feet, at a cost of more than any motel room in the city. For that, we had to endure extreme difficulty to take a shower in the bath. My son refused to shower at all. He tried to accommodate the tub and shower the first day and failed. It was an enormous disappointment for him and myself.
In addition to this, we lost any television enjoyment starting early on the second day lasting 24 hours until ******* turned it back on before our forced leave. It was as if the television cable had been turned off purposely. After ******* dropped in to see what was going on, she brought a note that avoided any contact resolution which told me we could leave at any time. When I crumpled up the note, ******* started screaming as if I was a monster. My son was horror struck by her actions, as was I, for I had never forwarded any type of violence or yelling or swearing, while she was standing there yelling at the top of her voice to get out, and my son also noted she slammed the door after she evicted me. Because of having to start all over, I was not able to pursue what was going on with my plan to leave with my daughter. All I was asking for was the cash back, for two days I had coming, so we could find another motel.
I was disappointed by the units size, and due to all things attached, I was trying to find a way to resolve things peacefully. But my son and I were threatened and accosted with lies, cruelty, and vengeance to say the least. My son was scared to death and told me, Mom, we should go. Also, I was expecting a large beautiful unit with newer bedding etc. for the price. But I did not find these things, in addition to the horrible travesty of trying to deal with the tub and its inappropriate huge canvas shower curtain that laid in and around the tub like a rag mop.
Therefore, due to these events, I still want my full refund for the four days because the whole thing was nothing but a battle on the part of myself and the management. More importantly, my son was discriminated against, scared, and treated as if he and I were garbage.

                                                                                                                   Sincerely, ******************************;  and ***************************
