    I had a service call from R&R on 6/23/2025 for a noisy heater fan motor in my home. The technician looked at the fan and motor and said it was very tight but could not be serviced because the bearings were permanently sealed. He replaced a capacitor, which was slightly out of tolerance and charged me $245, which I paid with that day. Later that day R&R sent me an email with an estimate for $1,146.46 to replace the motor. A quick look at ******* showed me how "permanently sealed" heater fan motors can be removed, cleaned, and oiled. I am a DIY guy so I went for it and did the entire procedure in about 2 hours and it completely fixed the squealing motor, which now runs very quietly. R&R installed my heating system in 2009 and I have always found them to be capable and professional. Now I am very disappointed in the company and feel I am being hustled into spending $1,400 to replace a perfectly serviceable motor.

    I will echo some of what ************ said...I would not use this company, they charge ($90) to come out. The person taking my needs down made me feel good about having them come out. The tech was not knowledgeable about my system.The tech "troubleshot" my system and cleaned out the condensation drain when the issue is related to the gas pressure and/or burner assembly, which I paid for. It was later that day when the issue was seen again. I waited 2 days beyond that for them (R&R) wait to hear back from the manufacturer for help troubleshoot the system, meanwhile the issue got worse and worse and left my wife, mother-in-law, two toddlers and I without the ability to take a warm shower.Then on day two (Friday), I get told they might be able to come out on Monday, if they hear back from the manufacturer before then, leaving us without a shower thru at least the weekend. They don't record their customer service calls so their reps just hang up the phone on you and tell their managers it is due to the customer being rude. The customer service manager gets on the phone and didn't introduce herself and says she will talk to the dispatch manager about locking in support for me on that Monday and then call me back.I got a notification from my bank with a credit for the charges from them before I got a returned contact call from the customer service manager.I would be very cautious in your choice to use this vendor for your service needs.
