    I hired All Purpose Moving for my move from *******, ** to **********, **. They moved my items out 11/2/23 with a crew of 6 people. They did assist in packing items which at no point during the day was I told well help you pack for X** amount. After every was loaded into the truck the owners wife demanded I pay an additional $981. I understand packing was not part of the original almost $8000. but a heads up of the additional amount at any point during the day would have been appropriate. I was told a crew of 3 would already be in ********** at a hotel waiting for me to be done with the closing at noon. I called and texted ****** the owner multiple times with no response. I was finally able to reach his wife who put me in touch with the movers. They were not in my new state waiting for me to finish the closing they were only halfway across the country and was later told they werent able to arrive on time as they had to wait over 10 hours to be sent gas money?? The movers finally arrived at midnight instead of 3 there were only 2 and 1 wasnt a mover he was there to help but spent most of the time on his phone which left me to do a large portion of the moving-which is NOT what I paid for. I pointed out my treadmill was broken. I spoke with ****** he assured me he would get it taken care of. He found a company in my area and for the last two months has been saying hes going to approve the invoice. After multiple texts between myself, Tayvon & the treadmill repair company a couple times a week for the last two months the invoice still is not approved/paid and my treadmill is still not fixed. I was assured by both ****** and his wife that any damage up to $50,000. was covered as long as they were notified within 30 or 60 days-not exactly sure. I spoke with ****** on the 8th or 9th & sent him the pictures of the damage that makes it unusable.

    Hello my name is *************************** and I am a *************** Resident. I am sending you this message because I would like to report a moving company that I hired to move my apartment and ship my 2012 ****** XC60 vehicle. All Purpose Moving Company, aka, Coast2Coast Movers and paid $1000.00 as a deposit for the move me and the agreement in the contract was that I pay the remainder balance at the end of the move. A ******* Police report has been filed, case# *********** as well as a complaint to the **************** ************************* The company was scheduled to move me on Monday,7/25/2022 and never showed. I received a text late in the afternoon from the moving company they was running late and needed to reschedule my move to, Tuesday, 8/2/2022 @1pm. Again, the moving company was a no show.I have saved the several text and email messages back and forth from the moving company requesting my $1000 be returned to me and the owner degrading me and expressing how entitled he is to my hard working $1000 deposit. The owner has refuses to return my monies. I am cooperating with ***** Fargo my bank, Zelle, Cash App, and Thumbtack regarding this matter. What hurts me the most out of all of this is that I am battling advance stage breast cancer. The owner stated to me in a text that he would not refund me $1 and good luck living my short cancer life.I feel it is my obligation as a citizen to report companies of this such. I am a ******* native, grew up in the Central District and worked hard all of my life. I hold a formal education degree and try to do right my people in society. This company should not be doing business in the *************** and I would like to make sure that my complaint be on the record. This situation has stressed me to the point that I have become extremely ill and in pain. I do not wish my experience on anyone.
