    Do NOT buy car seats from this company. They are not ***** certified and is folding their business as such. Buyer beware

    I would NOT RECOMMEND buying this company car seats! They do NOT last the lifetime of the car seat! Theyre supposed to last 10 years! So I bought 3 car seats for our large growing family. These seats have not held up! Regardless of safe and gentle care the foam just starts to deteriorate over time. One of them bottom main buckles no longer working. I did buy these seats in *********************************** mind that they would last until at least ****. This is INCORRECT and theres no way without replacing faulty parts over the years. This is NOT a good investment as they will not hold up the 10 years they are advertising! I can buy a brand new booster (different brand) for the cost of the replacement parts! Very disappointed and wish I had known this back then! I wouldnt have put my money towards Diono! I will no longer recommend this company or can stand behind their car seats that do not hold up!

    First of all, I want to say that I feel that Diono isn't honest with their review process. I wrote a negative review on the product site for the Diono Monterey 5ist Fixsafe seat and they refused to publish it. I wrote them asking them why they aren't publishing, and they purposely did not answer me. They offered to replace my seat, but I would need to pay return shipping to them, even after admitting the product was faulty. By principle, this did not sit right with me.My main issue with this booster is that the latch system does NOT deploy properly. Only my husband is able to push the button down hard enough, and with enough even force for the latches to eject. When I push, only one side comes out and I am unable to get the seat to work properly. Same issue when removing the seat. I've seen quite a few similar issues (read the reviews for this seat on Nordstrom, who publishes BOTH the good and bad reviews) and you'll see that this is fact and known issue. When I contacted customer service about it, they told me that a potential solution is to use a hard object, like a metal spoon when I'm trying to get it to deploy. I told them this wasn't an acceptable fix. They told me they would exchange my seat, but I needed to pay for return shipping and find a suitable box to ship back before they would do so.Prior to my experience, we were happy with our Diono carseat, but their shadiness in not publishing my bad review and "fixes" to a faulty product makes me never want to spend another ***** with them as they don't stand behind their products.
