    I am a longhaul truck driver. On the night of 9/5/2024 at around 8pm I parked at ********* Outpost Travel Plaza as I have done several times in the past. At around 9:30pm I got a knock on the door of my sleeper and when I rolled my window down, an employee demanded that I pay $10 to park there overnight. I told him that I saw no signs that said paid parking, and he confirmed there were none. I asked when they started charging for parking and he said a month ago. I told him I didn't have any time left on my drive clock and couldn't move my truck somewhere else and he threatened to have my truck towed if I didn't pay. This is a predatory scheme by these people to extract more money from truckers. I paid because I couldn't go anywhere else and I don't know how to find out if this is illegal as it should be. I would like my money back and any legal action possible to be taken against these unscrupulous business people.

    To whom it may concern just wanting to respond to this letter that yes Mr. ***** may have parked here in the past but the store was sold on March 29, 2024 and we have new owners now so this have changed. yes we are asking ***** to park over night but I posted this in the entrance of the truckers and the exit also I have posted this at the entrance of the store on both sides and on the front window in English and in Spanish  and put one restrooms. I don't know if Mr. ***** have ever entered the store and if he has he would have seen the messages you cant miss them and they are temporary we were waiting for the larger ones to come in so they were posted from Mid July 2024 until September 9th when we received the bigger ones. the temporary ones were made from my computer but they were in bright pink paper you cant mill them. I'm sorry that he got woken up but my cashier was only doing his job. don't know if he said that he would tow him I couldn't tell you if he did or not but I don't think so. I do have pictures to send but don't know how to or who to send them to. please let me know and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask
