      Northpoint Apartments, located at *********************************, is engaging in unfair and bad business practices by trying to keep our $250 holding deposit, despite being provided with proof from their own policies provided online on their website. My fiance and I were planning a move from *********, ********** to ******, **********, and I had found ********************************** online.After being accepted for the apartment, we decided to decline the offer. According to their website and Application Agreement, "4 If you fail to Sign Lease Contract after Approval. Unless we authorize otherwise in writing, you and all co-applicants must sign the Lease Contract within 3 calendar days after we give you our approval with or without conditions such as additional security deposit, or guarantor, in person or by telephone or within 5 days after we mail you our approval. If you or any co-applicant fails to sign as required, we may keep the holding fees as liquidated damages, and terminate all further obligations under this Agreement." Additionally in this Application Agreement, it is stated, "8. Extension of Deadlines. If the deadline for signing, approving, or refunding under paragraphs 4, 6, or 7 falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a state or federal holiday, the deadline will be extended to the end of the next business day." We received notice of our approval on Wednesday, March 19th at 2:37 PM. Three days following would be Saturday, March 22nd, which according to Section 8 of the Application Agreement would fall on a "Saturday, Sunday, or a state or federal holiday" therefore extending our deadline for responding to the end of the business day on Monday, March 24th. We responded to the official email declining the approval and explaining that our timeline had changed, with no regards to changing our minds, officially ending the application process, at 4:51 PM, well before end of day hours of operation, which are stated on their website as 6:00 PM.
