      I bought equipment from Burkhart which had a 2 year warranty and it had several issues, causing it to be sent to both Burkhart and the original manufacturer to be repaired twice. Each time they told me it was the fault of the operator, which I disagreed with. The product was repaired the first time without any charge to me which was what I expected. The second time, I was told the 2 year warranty was just for the parts, not labor. I ended up having to pay around $1000 to repair this equipment, because Burkhart charged me for the repair, the delivery, shipping charges, cost to rent a replacement while it was being repaired, cost to deliver the rental, and trip charges for the driver delivering the rental equipment. Some credit was given after I complained, but not much.

      In late 2022, I arranged to have my 3 dental operatory chairs reupholstered with a local business (Foothill Dental **************** for $4244.36. Somehow, Burkhart Dental Supply got wind of this, and decided that they would do this work. Without contacting me, or sending me an estimate beforehand, the Burkhart technician came and reupholstered the dental chairs. My staff were expecting a technician to reupholster these chairs at a later time, and were unaware that the people who came to do the work were not who we expected. Burkhart then sent me a bill for the work for $5391.52, which was much more expensive than the estimate that I had through the other business. I was very confused by this, because I never even contacted Burkhart about getting the work done. Eventually I agreed to get a refund from the other business (***** at Foothills Dental **************** who needed me to pay in advance so he could have the upholstery kits ordered), and pay that amount to Burkhart, which I did, and can provide proof of. Foothill Dental Sales and Service was very gracious in agreeing to issue me that refund. However, Burkhart is not writing off the remainder, though they did at some point knock the bill down to $4640.00. I paid them $4244.36, and now they keep sending me bills, and are now adding finance charges. I can not understand how they thought it was appropriate to come into my office and perform this work without even emailing me an estimate first. I am not even sure how they even found out that I had arranged to have this work done. My goal is for Burkhart to stop sending me bills for work that they took it upon themselves to do, and for which I never received an estimate. I paid them. They need to not do this to other people in the future. I've uploaded a copy of the original invoice from Foothill, the refund from Foothill, Burkhart's original invoice, their second invoice after waiving a portion of the fee, and what I paid them.
