    I hired this firm for PI services. I paid the $402.60 down payment there has been no activity, no responses and now the websites are all down. On the BBB this company is not accredited, however, claiming to be via the attached email.

    We hired this company to do an investigation on my ex husband. I am in a nasty custody battle with him because he has lied about who is taking care of her. We paid this company twice to do servalace on him and after the second time we heard nothing from them and they never returned our calls or emails. We just want others to know that this company is not responsible.

    Our business, **************, engaged America Investigations to assist with locating debtors, individuals and debtor assets. We signed an agreement on 1/7/25 to assign 10 cases to America Investigations and pay them a $10,000 retainer, $1,000 each case as a retainer. The company simply went dark after funds were paid. No work was completed, no communication, no results, just stole our money and ran.

    I enlisted this company to do research on a case involving an individual with a case in the family court of ************. They assured me they could get this information and would update me via they're online portal. The case was started October 27th 2024. In that time I've inquired numerous times on a status update. I spoke with the original case manager Anthony ****** who charged me $1103 once. I was then was passed to someone named ***** who would respond to my online questions only when I called. Around January 10th I spoke with ***** and we discussed she would have an update on the files by January 31st. She also agreed to updating me when she spoke with someone in the family court about when I would receive the documents. That hasn't happened, the phone numbers are now disconnected and I feel like I was scammed.

    Complaint Against ****** Legal for Failure to Provide Promised Services I am filing this complaint regarding the unprofessional and unethical conduct of ****** Legal. I retained their services to handle a time-sensitive case on October 14 2024, and was assured by their representatives, Anthony (owner) and ***** (secretary), that the matter would be resolved within 3-4 weeks. Despite their assurances, no work has been done on my case, and I have not received any updates or responses to my inquiries. Is now passed 3 months and now has been done in regards the service I requested. I have videos, emails, platform details etc. I paid ****** Legal in good faith the amount of $827.25 DLS, expecting professional services and timely communication. However, the firm has failed to meet its obligations, effectively abandoning my case. This lack of action and communication has caused significant inconvenience, delays, and stress.I am requesting the following resolutions:A full refund of the payment made to ****** Legal for services not rendered.A formal acknowledgment and explanation for their unprofessional conduct.I trust the BBB will take this matter seriously to prevent others from experiencing similar issues.     Terrible, terrible business!! I had an hour long talk with Anthony about how important the time line of my investigation was and giving him every detail of my investigation. He assured me that this time line and scope of work was absolutely no problem for him and his team of investigators. I paid them a little over $600 the very next day and then they went ghost!! I called both numbers that were in the website and left COUNTLESS voicemails stating how very important it was that they contacted me as soon as they heard my voicemail. Nothing. I sent emails to every email address I could find. Nothing. A week later I eventually got in contact with, im assuming a receptionist, *****. She was no help. She kept assuring me that Anthony would call me back. He never did. She kept assuring me that I wasnt being scammed and that an investigator would reach out to me. They didnt!! Im upset that they costed me the money that they did but most of all I am upset that they costed me the TIME that they did. By the time I realized this was a scam company I didnt even have time to go look for another investigator to do the work for me. So so upsetting!!

    We appreciate the opportunity to address this matter and provide clarity regarding the situation. While we understand the frustration expressed by the client, the statements in the complaint are factually inaccurate and misrepresent the circumstances.

    1. Service Agreement and Communication: Upon contracting our services, the client was informed of the nature of our work, including the steps involved and potential delays caused by factors outside our control. This was explicitly stated during her initial conversation with Anthony, where he explained that submitting notifications to law enforcementan essential step to ensure the safety and discretion of all partiescould take time depending on the responsiveness of the agency.

    Contrary to the allegation that we "went ghost," our records indicate daily communication with the client during the pre-case preparation phase. These communications included updates on our repeated attempts to secure acknowledgment from the local sheriff's office, which, unfortunately, took over four weeks due to their unresponsiveness despite numerous notifications and over 15 follow-up calls.

    2.Unforeseen Delays Beyond Our Control: The delay in receiving acknowledgment from the sheriff's office was an unusual and unforeseen circumstance. We made every effort to expedite this process and informed the client of our progress at every stage. The client was also reminded that delays of this nature are disclosed in our service agreement, which she acknowledged and signed.

    3. Resolution of the Chargeback: The client initiated a chargeback, resulting in the funds being withdrawn from our account by her bank. Once this occurred, issuing an additional refund would have constituted a double reimbursement, which is not appropriate or fair. As such, we did not process a refund beyond the chargeback, and the client has already been fully reimbursed for her payment.

    4. Inaccurate Allegations in the Complaint: The complaint states that we "went ghost," yet the clients own communications submitted alongside her complaint directly contradict this claim. These communications demonstrate that she was in regular contact with our team, including multiple conversations with ***** and other members of our investigations team. We regret that the client has chosen to mischaracterize the situation.

    5. Commitment to Ethical Practices: *********** operates with transparency and integrity. We regret that the delay caused by the sheriff's office impacted the timeline of the investigation, but this was entirely beyond our control. We fulfilled all contractual obligations, provided consistent updates, and ensured the client was reimbursed for her payment.

    In conclusion, while we sympathize with the clients frustration, her claims of being scammed are baseless and unsupported by the facts. We take complaints seriously and always strive to deliver exceptional service. Unfortunately, in this instance, unforeseen delays from the sheriffs office hindered the timely completion of the investigation. Despite this, we upheld our contractual terms and ensured the client was reimbursed.
