I got alcohol treatment from this office and have been trying to get my paid bill statement. No answer and nothing. Nobody contacted me back. I believe they owe me money since I have been making extra monthly payment

I have attached STOP's response letter.

      Complaint: 22044441

I am rejecting this response because it does not address my initial request. I am not inquiring about a transfer or any violation. As there have been no legal consequences, it is clear that I have not committed any violations. My request is straightforward: I am seeking to obtain my account statement, which has been denied for over five months. This raises a concern that the clinic/facility may be engaged in fraudulent activities or withholding records out of spite.

      Sincerely,

      Khulan Jamiyansuren

I will forward Ms. ************ the financial ledger for her account. I am not forwarding it through the Better Business Bureau website because it contains personal and confidential information. I will email it to her before 5:00 on 8/27/2024.

      Complaint: 22044441

I am rejecting this response because:

I believe I have no outstanding balance as of today, as I have consistently made my monthly payments according to the agreed plan. When I spoke with ******* at the facility and later with the head office, I was assured there would be no additional charges. My probation officer asked me to verify this, so I reached out to your team, and it was confirmed. This confirmation was essential for obtaining court approval for my transfer to the facility. Therefore, I completely disagree with this statementit feels like a total scam.

      Sincerely,

      Khulan Jamiyansuren

I am rejecting this response because: I still have nit gotten any written notice after speaking to the head finance person. He also informed me that there should not be any remaining balance.

      Sincerely,

I paid in full for my year long treatment program. Part of the way through I was advised by my attorney that I no longer needed to attend. My treatment counselor told me the balance of my treatment would be refunded and I would receive a check in the mail but it could take 90 days. After several months I followed up with a phone call to see where my refund was and was told by STOP that they would look into it. More weeks passed and I went in to their office in person to get this resolved. I was provided a phone number for a person in their ************* but after only being able to reach her voice mail and my messages not being returned I'm reaching out to the BBB for help resolving this issue.

This place commits insurance fraud and bullies patients to pay money that is not patient responsibility. Furthermore, their classes dont actually teach anything, its just wasted time listening to their counselors joke and brag about their past history with drug and alcohol use. There is no counseling, no education, just a dirty business preying on people who need help. In my experience, they try bulling me into making payments towards their services and refuse to give me a straight answer or any documentation of what they are trying to bill me for. They give conflicting stories from it being a coinsurance that I owe, but when I presented my insurance EOB showing my insurance paid at 100%, they change their story and claim its for future services for the program. Yet thats insurance fraud because providers cannot bill somebody for services that havent happened yet.*** made every attempt to clear up this matter via emails and phone calls, and their billing person *** refuses to speak to me or return any of my calls. One counselor even mocked me and questioned why Im fighting it that I should just pay. Their staff now hang up on me when I try to call and have treated me so unprofessionally. This place is clearly out just to make money and not actually help people. Their office staff, especially their billing staff are highly unprofessional, and have no business working for a company that supposedly cares about peoples mental health. Even their own counselor say they have tremendous problems with their billing. This place should be closed down.

I have talked to the financial manager and she reminded me of the issue with ***********************. Multiple employees has talked to Ms. ****** about her financial issues, including me. The entire issue surrounds a $97.00 payment. The clients insurance was suppose to cover her treatment at 100 %, if the client completed her recommended treatment program by Sept 30, because the client has met her deductible requisites set forth by her insurance company.

The client deductible renewed on October 1st. So her insurance no longer covers her at 100%. The financial manager is going to be gathering the appropriate documentations in order to prove Ms. ******* accusations are false.

In May 2022 I was enrolled in treatment with STOP and began participating in the classes. I paid monthly for classes from May through August, in addition to the initial assessment costs. In total, I spent over $1,000 with STOP for their course. I was discharged from the course in August of 2022 due to my not being a resident of ******** where the classes were taking place. I was not a resident of ******** prior to STOP accepting me and subsequently enrolling me into their course. STOP knew before they accepted me that their license did not cover me as an out-of-state resident, yet they still provided services to me and had me pay for them. None of the classes can be used on my end, so I paid for a service without receiving the agreed-upon service in our treatment contract. On September 13, 2022 I reached out to STOP explaining our position. I spoke to the business manager of the STOP program and he informed me that they would be sending me a check to recoup the costs of treatment. The business manager stated that they would be getting a check to me within the next couple of weeks. However, it is now November 2, ************************************************************** fact, I have reached out three ******** ************************************************************************** ************** If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the BBB assigned to your complaint: BBB Serving *********************** Southeast Atlantic ************************************************************************** ************** Better Business Bureau , separate times since speaking to the manager and left voicemails with STOP about the issue. Currently, since agreeing to pay the $1,000 recoupment, nobody from STOP is returning my calls or attempts to outreach. It seems as though STOP is intent to withhold the refund they previously agreed to.
