  I contracted 9/13/23 to have a tree removed from my property. My neighbor also contracted to have 2 trees removed. I gave permission for a crane to be placed on my property to remove all 3 trees with the crane placed on my property and the trees drug across sections of my yard. I was assured verbally/written and had placed in the proposal invoice/contract additional wording for repair of grass damage and sprinkler system repair. This was signed by me. Damage occured to the sprinkler system.Significant damage occurred to my yard/grass. Where I had a level yard with grass pre job, I have ruts where the crane was driven across grass and than where the legs were set definitive indentations. Damage to the sprinkler system has been repaired by Ranger Tree. Damage to the lawn/grass has not been repaired. Ranger Tree came out once to pitchfork the indentations. This did not have any significant repair that I could see. The second time I asked if the damage to lawn would be repaired and was told that he could bring out a ******** and bag of seed. Which he did. I had ensuing discussion that IMHO this repair needed 3 way fill to fill the indentations to level the areas that I had marked. I showed picture of before which clearly did not have these indentation which are significant for mowing my lawn without turning an ankle. Because of the Ranger Tree Expert not agreeing my lawn is left with thatched, seed scattered and indentations are still there. The conversation between I and the Ranger Tree expert ***** was not productive and seemed to start becoming contentious, I stopped the conversation. I had verbal conversation with the owner pre tree removal about leaving my yard as good as before. Post tree removal it became my expectations were unrealistic. And was assured by ***** that their company works on golf courses and cemeteries and seemed to understand the importance of level yard. I paid the bill. This will cost me to repair. Sad.

  The access that was allowed by **** was critical to removing the large fir for her neighbor, and was much appreciated by all parties involved. During our initial conversation regarding the impact to the lawn area, we were clear that there would be minimal impact and that damage to the irrigation and lawn would be repaired. 
  

  Our assurances regarding on the experience weve developed in working on golf courses and cemeteries were intended to paint an accurate picture of the process. We are the exclusive tree contractor for the largest ones in the area because of the successful care we take in preventing damage.

  However, where we disagreed was the level of scrutiny that she applied to the worksite as compared to the prior condition to the contours of the lawn. There were very minor ruts to be sure, but the lawn already had clear dips and ridges as most old lawns do. Given time, the lawn will recover to a reasonable degree and look like it did before- imperfect but good as it was.

  I am rejecting this response because:
  I was asking for lawn repair/grass repair as stated on the invoice.  I have a 20 year history of my lawn with mowing.  It is old but was level.  I was able to mow safely.  Since the crane being rolled onto property and parked and than rolling off the areas in question are notably compressed to the point of indentations and tire ruts.  Its not horrid damage but it is damage and is not level.  My feeling is the repair for this will be to bring in something like a 3 way soil fill to level up the damaged areas.  

   Once you set and drive a 40 ton crane over soggy, wet grass there will be repair that thatching and light seeding will not fill in ever.  The grass repair looks bad.  I dont have much hope that Spring will improve situation.
