      We had this company come out to clean and inspect our woodstove in October. They upsold us and said that we are lucky we didn't have a fire. The technician showed us pictures of what needed to be cleaned. They charged us $2,165.00.Over the weekend, smoke started billowing out of the pipe of our wood stove. This company would not return our calls. We had a different company come out and we found out that the previous company did not clean our chimney, nor any of the services they claimed to provide. They provided pictures to show us that our chimney had not been cleaned. The fraudulent company also put the wrong cap on the pipe which could have resolved in a deathly house fire. This is unacceptable and I want my money refunded. I will take them to court if necessary. I called Safe Chimney, they are not returning my calls. Please help us get a refund.

      I scheduled a chimney sweep service with Safe Chimney on 10/31/2024. A technician visited, not from Safe Chimney, but from a company called Chimney Services. This technician looked the chimney and convinced me about $1,800 in services and crown repairs were necessary. I signed an invoice for the repairs, and wrote a check for a 50% deposit. The services and repairs were scheduled for 11/5/2024, but no technician ever arrived. On 11/6/2024, I called Safe Chimney to ask whether a technician was planning on arriving to perform the repairs as scheduled. The call center person said they had no record of the work order and would call me back. This call back never occured. I also called the number for Chimney Services written on the invoice, to which nobody answered and was forwarded to a generic voicemail stating the number which I had just dialed. Given the technician never arrived to perform the work, and no follow up was available through the company, I canceled the check and hoped that would be the end of that. However, two weeks later, I received a call from Safe Chimney, asking when I would like to have my chimney repairs scheduled. I stated the the technician was a no show, so I did the repairs myself and had no further need of their company. The caller said okay, and hung up. On December 9, 2024, I received another call, this time from Chimney Services, asking why I hadn't paid their outstanding invoice. I said it was because the technician never showed and the work was never performed. Hopefully this is the end of the saga, but I expect not. I would like Safe Chimney and its subcontractor or affiliate Chimney Services to stop contacting me and to resist any urge to send this invoice to a collections agency.
