Invoice number ****** Date 11/3/22 License # ************ Roto-Rooter ***************************************************************************** On Wednesday November 2, 2022 the tech ******** (#**) came out in the morning to work on a backed up main line. He was here for a maximum of two hours to work on a backed up main line. He located and dug up a two-foot section part of the line and installed a clean out. He made it clear that he charges $225.00 an hour, but on November 16, 2022 we received a past due bill that was not clearly itemized for a total of $852.56. When I called to inquire about the bill on 11/18/2022 I was told that I needed to pay the bill by the months end or that I would be sent to collections. When I asked about leaving a voicemail with the owner, *****************************, I was told that I was not allowed to leave him a voice message. When I asked when I might call back to discuss this further, I was threatened with collections again and then properly hung up on. The bill shows that we were charged $736.46 for the two hours of labor that ******** was here, but clearly two hours of work should not come to more than $450.00 (+ tax). The parts used (the only thing that is clearly itemized on the bill) indicates that a total of $116.10 was spent on parts. This would lead me to conclude that the total should be no more than ****** (+ tax). Therefore, I am willing to pay ****** (+ WA state tax) and want the company to send me a new bill with this amount. I am also requesting to not be sent to collections for asking about a bill that was sent to me only one week ago. I have never been so poorly treated by any company before and was appalled by both their rudeness, miscommunication, and unwillingness to look over the erroneous bill with me. I am hopeful that an inquiry from the BBB provide this company with some much needed accountability and perhaps a ****** in customer service as well.
