Don't book a spa day here. Especially if you're a member. I have been trying desperately to use my membership credits that built up during COVID, to no avail. ***, am I sorry that I decided to let them keep charging me during that time. It was a gesture of goodwill toward a business that has totally bounced back and bitten me. When I book multiple services (massage plus facial) at least one of those services ends up being cancelled. This happened in April (I actually took a day off work and they cancelled at the last minute). And it happened again today (late May). I cannot seem to get a spa day! The reason or excuse both times was employee illness. Assuming that's true, I'm sympathetic with the employee but not with the business. My original April appointment was rescheduled to late May - a gap of about 6 weeks - and that was the earliest available. This company collects $80 monthly from me and can't deliver the service I or any other member should expect. I shouldn't have to wait 1.5 months for a make-up appointment. So I quit. To give you an idea of what quitting is going to cost me: consider that I have at least 15 credits valued between $60 and $80. I will lose those credits when I quit ( which will be as soon as the manager calls me back). Good riddance. Full disclosure: my membership originated in *****, ** - but if you check the Hand and Stone website, you're supposed to be able to use your credits anywhere. This entire organization is ripe for a class action lawsuit.

Thank you for your comments. Our massage therapist today was in fact sick and she requested the day off. I am sorry she was sick today and unable to do the massage service. Our esti. was ready to do the facial service, but understand it is not two services back to back. We do not ask our providers to work sick and sometimes sickness comes without a great deal of notice.I do see where we had a facial and massage scheduled on 4/10/23 and the facial portion was cancelled, but the massage was done. You were also able to return for another massage 17 days later.

I understand it can be harder to find two separate service providers that have matched times on the same days for multiple services and when we can those can be further out on the calendar.

Being a member in MD and using the packages in University Place WA or being a member at all did not make a difference in the booking or the employee sickness. You are right you can use those packages at any Hand & Stone location in the United States, including University Place. Upon termination of your membership you do not loose your packages immediately upon termination. I would refer you back to your home spa in MD for details. I understand your current membership was on freeze in MD. to allow you time to use those outstanding packages without paying the monthly membership.

I again apologize for my employee cancelling the service due to sickness.
