I just got out of bankruptcy and have been trying to improve my credit but Pierce county sewer is NOT sending any kind of bills each month and then they file a lien against my property every 2-3 months which is continuously affecting my credit in a negative way. Instead of me getting a bill my loan company gets notice I have a lien so they call ******* credit is not improving AT ALL!!! This is not ok! Why am I not receiving monthly bills & why are you able to file liens so often? Im literally screwed because of your credit reporting I cant even get a crappy credit card!!!!!

Increase in late fees for Pierce County Sewer. My mailed payments are increasigly earlier and earlier. They are mailed from **************************** (BECU) to Pierce County Sewer (PCS). Despite my efforts I am assessed with late fees because PCS does not process my payment until after the due date. For example, my last payment was mailed by **** February 28 for payment date of October 8 but the check was processed October 10 by PCS. A late fee insued In June, though the payment was mailed with five days before payment date. PCS processed my payment after the pay date. BECU mails all my mpnthly payments without fail and no other payments are ever late. With PCS the last 2 of three payments were processed late. There is no customer "person" I can contact for an explanation and the only other remedy is to pay a **** fee with each payment monthly or a lete fee every other pay cycle. Please contact me through email.

Back in June of 2022, I received a notice that my Sewer **** was not paid. I am currently enrolled with the Pierce County ********************* Assistance Program for low income individuals. I was informed by a ****** and another person, named Robi that I needed to have a delinquency notice before, ***** Services would step in and pay for my ****. There was a delinquency notice in June of 2022. I was told by Robi that ***** Services will take care of my current one time ****. Then on July 18, 2022, I received another delinquency notice from Pierce County Sewer dated July 15, 2022 which I will attach here. On July 19, 2022, I called Pierce County Sewer explaining that it was my understanding the Pierce County ***** Service was going to pay for my current ****. Pierce County Sewer said they have a pledge but no payment. They said that my delinquency notice was self generated. I find this hard to believe. I think Pierce County Sewer is misinforming me about their receiving the necessary payment in order to get me to pay and they would have two payments for me, one from ***** Service and a second one from me. The attached letter does not look like it was self generated.

    Business Response

We have shared and coordinated the document with ***** Services. Below is the response provided from ***** Services based on the conversation with ***************

*********************** is a currently a client of the Pierce County ***** Services-Energy Assistance Program. One of the benefits he is eligible for through this program is LIHWAP. This benefit covers water &/or sewer charges that are past due.

When ************** called to let our agency know that he was past due on his Pierce County sewer bill, I requested the documentation needed from Pierce County Planning & Public Works to be able to process a benefit for his sewer account. I received this information the same day I requested it. **************' LIHWAP payment was pledged to his account (******) on July 8, 2022. I spoke with ************** at that time to let him know that a pledge had been made in the amount of $199.00.

When I was informed on 08/02/22 that ************** had written a letter to the ************************** I called ************** and asked him if there was a problem with the account that caused him to write the letter. He explained to me that when he received the delinquent notice dated July 15, 2022, he thought Pierce County Planning & Public Works was trying to get a second payment from him for the amount that our agency pledged.

I explained to him then that the pledge I made on July 8, 2022 and the delinquent notice mailed to him on July 15,2022, must have crossed paths, so to speak. I told him that the utility companies do not take the amount that is pledged off of the account until it is an actual payment and that is why the amount was still showing as due on his account. ************** said that he understood what I was telling him, but he had already written the letter.

    Sincerely,

Pierce County Planning and ******************************************************* Customer Billing Services
