I called Meineke on 08/16/2024. There was an issue with my car with no engine light on. ***** said h*** have someone look at it. ***** then sends me a quote for $2,616.01 saying that this was the issue: Level 1 Diagnostic Rough Idle and miss fire P0448 $103.27, Remove & Replace Fuel Evaporative Canister $ ********, Air Filter $52.57, Fuel Induction Service ******, Remove & Replace Engine Mount $597.19, total labor $568.75, total parts $1,797.90, total fees $ ***** and tax $199.37. Of course I dont have that kind of money, so I signed up for their EasyPay program. They had to order the parts 7-10 business days. I get a call from ***** saying they test drove my car and it was ready to be picked up on 08/27/24. I electronically signed my Easy Pay agreement before I could test drive it. I started my car and I noticed it was still doing the thing high idling. I let it warm up and drove off the lot, but then I took my car on the freeway just to see if the issue was still happening. Sure enough the issue wasnt resolved and I called ***** immediately. ***** told me to come back. A Mechanic came out with the code reader again when theres still no engine light on ( so at this point Im thinking theyre just guessing). They would of noticed that my car still had the same idling problem when they started my car and test drove it. The mechanic took my car for a drive and said the same issue is happening. They then took my car and lifted it up. ***** pointed his flash light saying, it looks like youve been in a accident? in which I have never been in one in my car. ***** then said that my tires needed to be switched around. After that didnt work ***** says oh look at your transmission fluid it dirty. Switched the oil my car got worse he said. Now I cant drive my car its still going slow. ***** said let me talk to me manager to get a deal, now theyre asking for $6,511.16 when the first issue wasnt fixed. They took advantage of me and I need help.
