Back in May around the beginning of the month we dropped off the truck for Driveshaft repair. On the 13th of May, we picked the truck up and paid for it.The invoice states that parts and labor are under warranty for one year or ******miles. On around June 26th, we noticed the repair was wrong. On July 14th, we dropped the truck off a second time to be fixed again. In the beginning f this we had ASKED for the DRIVELINE to be balanced as it should with such said repairs. THAT part never took place the first time and caused it to be brought back again. Upon picking up the truck on July 26th, we were presented with another invoice for repairs that should of been covered by the warranty that is stated on the invoice. Did not get truck that day as we were trying to figure out why we had to pay. with no cooperation from the owner, we finally just paid to get truck back on the 31st of July. Once home we noticed that the rear seal in the transfer case was leaking and was not like that when we dropped it off. After all of the parts being put on and taken off and repeated again, caused more ********** the driveline is damaged and has to be replaced completely . Just trying to get back the money we should not have had to pay the second time and for the seal we replaced due to the negligence of the work performed at the shop in the beginning.

I am sorry to hear there has been lack of communication or understanding of the issues. The original work was performed correctly as requested ( u-joints and a carrier). I did not get to speak to you directly but did tell **** when he picked up the truck that the truck has a major vibration from a stop. This could indicate a problem with the set up of 5" lift on the truck. **** said it has been like that and that he was not worried about it. Both **** and I called the lift company but got no assistance through them. Balance issues are not felt taking off from a stop which is where your truck had a problem. When **** brought the truck back, I told him I could not warranty a part that failed due to something other than being defective. The part failed due to the vibration I told him about on the first visit. I told him I am not an engineer but would look at it and charge him time and materials. We inspected, measured and adjusted as we could to help with the problem caused by the vehicle being modified. We replaced the damaged carrier bearing, replaced rear axle spring U-bolt kits, installed adjusting shims on rear axle and the transfer case to change the angles to within allowable working angles. None of this was warranty work.

I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

To begin with the DRIVE LINE was never balanced like I asked for it to be the first time or the second time. If this was performed, We would not have an issue with this. The automotive shop should of done what we asked the first and second time around. We noticed the rear seal was bad on transfer case and pulled DRIVE LINE ourselves and sent it out to get balanced and was informed that the DRIVE LINE  was indeed bad.  The auto shop should of known this from the beginning . If he would of done what was asked of him, we would not be in this situation. I feel I should at least get back the first $1458.82 that was put into it. The DRIVE LINE cost $800.00 to fix the problem which he should of told us in the first place.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have attached a copy of the receipt for the drive line we had to replace..Correct amount is $755.47.  Could of been avoided if done when asked to replace the first time.

Just would like some funding back.

    Sincerely,
