      I had a 1 on 1 with my drug counselor which is mandatory in recovery once a month. At this appointment my counselor seemed anxious to drug test me which is also part of the program. We talk a little bit about everything. I started the conversation about my housing program which Im very excited about but I was cut off and felt like if there was something more specific she wanted to talk about. She mentioned marijuana use. I didnt deny it from the beginning because in my assessment with ************** mentioned I was in chiropractic care for a bad accident I was in a couple years prior. But the chiropractic care would be coming to an end soon and I did use marijuana/ cbd for pain., but I wasnt using it at the time. ******** immediately started to try to make her point that I couldnt use, which I understood. I tried to explain to her that my 10 year old granddaughter used cbd for her seizures ( shes quadriplegic) ******** ( my drug counselor) started telling me it was illegal to take my granddaughters medication and insisted on telling me my granddaughter was getting high. I was in a state of shock for a couple of minutes. A couple minutes after she said this she told me she had to take a u.a from me so we went to the restroom. Before I went in for my u.a she made me pat myself down and entered the restroom with me. She collected the urine and poured it into a cup and tested it. I could see it was positive clearly but she acted as if she didnt and told me to hold on and raced with my urine to the front office where another drug counselor and two receptionists were talking. ******** completely interrupted theyre conversation and asked ****** another counselor if my u.a looked dirty swishing it back and forth like if she was at a wine tasting. I was furious and embarrassed. The receptionists had no reason to know anything about my u.a . While ****** concentrated on my dirty u.a she looked up at ******** with a distinct I told you so look on her face. I could immediately tell I was part of theyre gossip sessions. I feel like this was completely unprofessional and she did apologize for that weeks later. I dont seem to have the space to tell you the rest. But I feel like Im not the ideal addict theyre looking for. I know they want more opioid addicts because of the funding but this is very wrong that these counselors listen to gossip. At the beginning I truly thought they cared but its pretty much all about the money

      My complaint was submitted and number is:18533022 I was contacted by email by a merit representative and called her back just to be asked if I would like to transfer to a different office in a different city. Absolutely nothing was resolved and after having my rights violated this way I dont want anything to do with merit looking at my personal information. And I believe my drug counselor should be investigated and reprimanded. I would like to re open this case please and I would like your help resolving this.
