We have been scammed by this so/called company & so have many others, they had us file a claim with our insurance to repair our roof, siding, & ceiling but strung us along for a year, the work they finally did was extremely shoddy, not even close to the amount of money received (gave them a $22,000 check & all they did was replace some screws on the roof, & when questioned they are dodgy & unprofessional, also Im saying they but its actually only been one person that we can sometimes contact named ****** & when asked to speak to a manager or anybody else from the company theres always an excuse, this person/company is scamming & taking advantage of people DO NOT DO ANY SORT OF BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAM ARTIST!Business Response

Good afternoon, the contract with ***** ******** signed on June 24, 2025, clearly states contactor estimates that the cost of work above will be per insurance scope. Insurance has fixed prices for each lined item; this price is what Z & Z Construction LLC. will charge to do the work. Below is a chronological order of the communications we had between Z & Z Construction LLC., insurance, and policyholder/daughter.
The first inspection set up by State Farm was on August *******.
September 5th through the 30th we made multiple calls to the adjuster ****** *********, with no response from insurance.
October 1, 2024: we received the Scope of work that only approved partial siding as well as partial interior no work to be done on roof.
October 16, 2024: There was a new adjuster on the claim. Many emails and voicemails left, failed to receive response.
November 8, 2024: There was a new adjuster ********* **** assigned to the claim. November 20, 2024: Again, this claim got assigned to a new adjuster **** ********.
November 25, 2024: A re-inspection was set up for roof,ceiling and siding.
December 12, 2024: ****** spoke to policyholders daughter and asked if insurance had called her mother regarding the scope of work she said No. 12/12/24 there was a new adjuster assigned ****** ******. There was a re-inspection scheduled for 12/13/24 for interior and exterior work at 12pm. ****** spoke to ***** the policyholder and informed her of the reinspection for 12/13/24 and let her know that she would be present, ***** did not have to be present, but she could if she wanted to. We would need access to property and somebody to be there to see the interior of the home.
December *******: **** ********* submitted scope for review and said it would be ready within a week.
January ******: Spoke to **** ******** he said he was waiting on managers approval for the updated scope of work.
From January 4th until the 26th of January continued to contact insurance regarding scope of work.
January 27, 2025: ****** spoke to ***** and asked if she has spoken to the adjuster, she said she had not.
January 28th February ******* continued to try to get in contact with adjuster never got a response regarding claim.
February *******:****** spoke to the adjuster **** ********, he stated he gave the policyholder the updated Scope of work with the approval of un-screw/re-screw of metal roof using larger screws. He had also stated he gave the scope of work and check to policyholder in person two weeks prior to this phone call.
February 27th to April 28th: Continued to contact State Farm to get full roof replacement approval. We sent various photos they requested along with videos and waited for their approval or denial.
April *******: ****** called **** ********* to get clarification on scope of work, she asked regarding the un-screw and re-screw of metal roof due to there being other material under the roof. He stated the metal roof was only approved for un-screw and re-screw using longer screws. After the confirmation of un-screw and re-screw of the metal roof ****** spoke to ***** and daughter informing them the full roof was not covered. She asked if they wanted Z & Z Construction to continue to push for a full roof replacement and they said Yes.
May 8, 2025: We called State Farm and spoke to a representative regarding photos showing why this home needed a full roof replacement. The State Farm representative stated the e-mail had not been reviewed by the adjuster handling the claim and she would try to push it through for review. After speaking with the representative of State Farm ****** called the policyholder to update her on the claim. Shortly after the policyholders daughter called ******, she advised her it would be beneficial if they went into the State Farm office to try to speed up the claim. She then stated they would go into the State Farm office to ask about the claim and see if they could speed up the process.
May *******: ****** gave ***** the adjusters information as well as the claim number so she could call and get an update on the claim.
May *******: We sent State Farm more photos of the roof they requested for a full roof replacement.
May *******: We contacted a State Farm representative named ******* since we had not heard back for this claim, she stated a new adjuster had been assigned to this claim and was working on it and it was pending.
June *******: Called State Farm to get an update on the claim, the representative stated the decision to un-screw and re-screw of the metal roof as well as siding remained the same. They just informed us to use longer screws on the metal roof. ****** contacted the policyholders daughter to relay the message and inform her mother ***** that the work for the metal roof would begin June *******.
June *******: ****** reminded policyholders daughter and informed her that we would be starting the metal roof on 6/12 in the morning, letting her know to please inform her mother *****.
June *******: Job started that morning at 8:30am and was completed in the afternoon of that same day. All metal screws were picked up along with a magnetic sweeper that was passed around the outside perimeter of the home to clean up any debris that may have fallen off the roof. Later that day ****** contacted the policyholder and let her know that the interior work was scheduled to start June 16th at 8am through the 19th.
June 13th 2025: ****** contacted policyholdersdaughter to inform ***** that she still was past due and needed to pay her deductible, daughter stated she would drop off the deductible on June 16th in the morning at the office.
June15,2025: At 9:45pm policyholders daughter sent ****** a message stating there was an inconvenience, she asked if we could start the interior work on June 17th instead.
June *******: Policyholders daughter called ****** requesting receipts of the material that was purchased for the work completed. Policyholdersdaughter asked if ****** was in the office to speak with her. ****** informed her she was not in the office, but she could drop off the deductible and pick up the paperwork requested. ****** let her know there would be someone in the office to provide her with the paperwork. The policyholders daughter also informed ****** that she found someone else to do the work and was requesting for the full refund of the insurance money, although we had already completed a portion of the claim.
June *******: ****** texted the daughter of the policyholder to inform ***** that the workers would be on their way to start the interior work at 8:30am. The daughter responded saying No and proceeded to call ******.The daughter stated that she was not allowing us to continue the work until she got the receipts of materials purchased, ****** informed her she would give her a copy of the scope of work when she came into the office to give the deductible payment. She never stopped by to pick up the paperwork nor to give the deductible payment.
June 18, 2025: ****** called State Farm and spoke to Herald ****** informing him that the policyholder was not allowing us to continue the remainder of the work for this claim. We informed him that we would be terminating the contract due to policyholders request on wanting a new contractor to do the whole roof, siding and interior, although insurance only approved the un-screw and re-screw of the metal roof, partial siding, and ceiling of the inside. We let him know that the un-screw and re-screw had been completed, he said to submit an invoice of the lined item on the insurance scope along with a photos of the completed un-screw and re-screw of the metal roof. ****** asked him if we send the remaining money for the interior work/partial siding back to ********** he said Yes. After speaking with Herald, we sent the Policyholders daughter an email regarding termination of contract due to continuous rescheduling. All the while policyholdersdaughter was requesting the full insurance payment to hire a new contractor to do work that was not approved by insurance.
June 24th, 2025: The policyholders daughter sent ****** a message stating we were sending false photos to insurance (completion of the metal roof). Policyholders daughter continues to send text messages harassing ****** and threatening the company validity even after the contract has been terminated. The termination letter clearly states to contact insurance with any questions or concerns regarding the claim.
Attached you will find a copy of the contract between policy holder and Z & Z Construction LLC., the first insurance scope where the roof un-screw and re-screw was not covered dated October 1st *****. You will also find the most recent insurance scope where they approved the un-screw and re-screw of the metal roof, dated February 6th, 2025. We will also be attaching the termination letter sent to policyholder/daughter, the completed roof photo, and screen shots of text messages, and email received by the policyholders daughter.
Insurance has its own way of approving or denying claims, we did our best to satisfy policyholders needs, while communicating with both insurance and policyholder as effectively as possible. It is out of our control to speed things up, all we can do is try to continuously communicate with the adjuster and insurance representatives to the best of our ability.
Hopefully this information can resolve this matter promptly.
Thank you and have a great day.
