    We had an outdoor wood boiler installed in Oct 2022. The boiler system was connected to our oil furnace. We had to have them back twice -the first the blower did not shut off, then the furnace didn't kick on by itself. The boiler system worked good through the winter. We shut off the boiler in early May of 2023. There was a cold streak in early June where the oil furnace was being used. We began to notice black in noses when we blew our nose & discovered that only a month after changing the oil furnace filter, it was black. There was black soot in all our ductwork that Schutz's had cleaned in November 2022. We had soot in all of our house. I contacted Schulz's and other than the initial emails (with Nick) with pictures of the soot, there was no contact back. After a week, I called to contact them, and they said they thought the insurance company had gotten a hold of me. Which they had not. After a month, they finally came to clean the ductwork. After almost four months and emails not being returned, I stopped directly at the business to get information in which I was told they would call back, and still no calls back. Their excuse is that their insurance adjuster has not gotten back to them. They also blamed the business that installed the furnace 30 years prior.
    I had another occurrence after that where the wood boiler was having an issue and was told that a tech would be out the next day. I got home from work, only to talk with my mother to find no one showed up. I called and they stated there had been an emergency elsewhere. No phone call to let me know this. It was over a week before a tech finally got here and again, very poor communication from them. When a comment was made that I will call you tomorrow, I even stated that I won't hold my breath to them.
    I do not recommend them. They are terrible with follow up or contacting you back unless it is maybe an emergency. Only reason they are getting two stars is that our wood boiler does heat the house nicely.

    We are extremely sorry we weren't able to provide a quicker response to resolve your problem with the oil furnace.  ********************* assured us multiple times that they were going to contact you and we assumed they were going to do that, but as we know this did not end up happening.  We did contact our insurance multiple times since we did not hear back from them, so we did take it upon ourselves to clean your ductwork again to clean the soot, of course at no charge to you.  We did verify that the oil furnace was not installed to industry standards and CODE when it was originally installed by another contractor.  We did terminate that service dispatcher since they were not providing our customers with the level of service we expect.  Our new service dispatcher has been a great asset to our company and we are sure you will have a pleasant experience in the future.  We would like to offer a free checkup on your wood boiler system, just give us a call to set that up.  We appreciate your business!
