      2014 **** focus was dropped off per scheduled appointment in august 24, 2021 secondary to vehicle wouldnt go in reverse and overheating. ********* appointment was made in July. We had to bring it in on a trailer. It was found to need a transmission control unit which is a warranty part from ****. It was reported to us that it would be a month for the part but unfortunately that turned into months with no known date for the part. We have called or stopped by monthly after the first 8 months. With stopping by they lost the keys, battery was dead, tires were low and were told they were waiting on a different job on it which wasnt true. We were finally told the part would be before Christmas and were told later it never came. We have attempted to call **** and were told its on back order but up to the local dealership to deal with the situation and getting it. Now this week we were now told they have the part but the snow is keeping them from getting it put in as its outside in their fenced in lot. They have offered to buy it from us when we told them it was a hardship with not having the vehicle secondary its my primary vehicle for work and we had to purchase another one. They offered a very low amount of **** or 500 extra if we brought from them. Its now been been roughly 18 months and no phone calls from them with ever updating us. We now have a vehicle that hasnt been run in that amount of time, battery is dead at times , engine oil not changed or other things checked. Money lost by this vehicle currently insurance being paid on it , title being paid x 2. Increased milege on family vehicle which is higher gas mileage and trade in cost being much lower as it was needed for work. Thousands of dollars has been lost.

      I understand at sometimes auto repairs can be very inconvenient and costly. We recognize this to truly be one of those times. Combined with a major repair that renders the vehicle unusable with the supply issues that all manufactures are incurring in these times has put in motion a repair process that no one wants or would like to be a part of on either side of the equation. Both parties are grateful that the repairs have finally been completed and to bring this unusual situation to a close we have provided the customer what they have requested in the complaint letter. We have replaced the customer's battery with a new one and have performed an oil change on the vehicle with no additional cost to the customer.
