    On Wednesday, February 26, 2025 I brought my car to Appleton Car Wash on **********. Appleton, ** to have the interior of my car detailed. I purchased the ****** package which should have entailed, vacuming, shampooing the upholstery, cleaning the windows, and cleaning the inside surfaces. I do not feel that the carpeting or upholstery was shampooed, all of the interior has not been cleaned and my windows are full of swipe patterns where someone just wiped over the windows and not even completely wiped over them. I called a little before five ******* on Wednesday to see if my car was done, it was not, ******* said, I could come by at five thirty. When my son and I went to pickup my car at five thirty it still wasn't finished. ******* made some swipes on the back window and didn't touch else in my presence. I had informed ******* previously that I would be taking my car to my mechanic immediately after leaving his place to have my oil changed. I would be leaving it overnight, so when I picked my car up at 4:00, it was the first time I saw it in the daylight With the sunshine shining on the windows I could see all the streaks and swiped made to supposedly clean my windows, I couldn't even see out of my back window. The upholstery did not look like it had been deep cleaned, the floors looked vacuumed, the two floor mats in the front looked cleaned, could see dust on my dashboard and the pockets on the doors and compartments inside fo not look like they had been cleaned. I had to pay $209.95upfront, when ******* insisted that I had to do that, I should have gone somewhere else. I purchased this car a week ago, it was not dirty, it should have been a simple clean, not eight hours of virtually nothing done.Its a ****** Camry, not a large car!

As part of our standard process, all customers inspect their vehicles upon pickup, and if any areas need extra attention, we address them immediately. No concerns were raised at that time.
    Additionally, we provided both interior detailing and an exterior wash and wax beyond what was originally requested. If you had concerns, we would have gladly addressed them right away. However, it has now been nearly two weeks, and we are still waiting for you to bring the car back so we can inspect it firsthand. If we wait any longer, it will be too late for us to take any corrective action.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    My upholstery was not cleaned, the hard surfaces were not cleaned, the insides of the doors were not cleaned the rugs and upholstery were not shampooed, the dashboard is covered in a sticky substance, the windshield and all the windows have a streaky, greasy substance on them, the hard surfaces compartments were not cleaned... When detailing a car these should have been cleaned as I paid for a complete package. I do not trust *******, he is a one man shop, to touch my car. As previously stated, it was dark when I put up the car, I could not see that my car was worse than when I brought it to *******, my son did not look in my car at all so he could not have commented on it. The car does not have burn marks they are claw marks from a pet. That's the reason I wanted the car detailed because of my pet allergies. This job is done in a garage and does not have a gallery to inspect the car in. After ten hours of having my car, ******* was still frantically wiping down the windows and swishing a rag on the seats. When e called ******* to tell him that I was not happy with his work, he was not happy, did not offer to redo anything and called the police to report that I was going to send me over to his place to deal with him. I did not do that! The officer advised me not to call him or have any more contact with him so how can I have the job redone? I am a 70 year old woman, I don't have anyone to send to his business! The setup that ******* has , in my opinion, does not look professional, it's a garage with a hose a fan, and a bucket, when I was looking around, I did not see a shampooer. How can you clean and shampoo upholstery without a shampooer? In my opinion, I was scammed! I have been in contact with my neighborhood website, Nextdoor, where someone else commented that they had a negative experience with Appleton Car Wash, there is also a negative review buried on the Appleton Car Wash website. I was informed by ******* that the website says no refunds, I could not locate the no refunds statement anywhere on the website. This matter can be resolved by issuing me a refund. In my opinion, Appleton Car Wash and ******* are a con and a scam. This has been very upsetting, I am on Social Security so I do not have money to waste.
