I have a complaint against my gym - Anytime Fitness Appleton. I have a personal membership there as well as did personal training. This past year has not been the best with fees. The latest is that my trainer left the gym the end of September. I cancelled my personal training at my last work out. I signed the papers and was told by the trainer that 1 more payment would come out of my checking account and that I have 10 unused sessions. I started noticing that fees were still being taken out of my checking account. I contacted the gym and they said they would take care of that. I waited and then another payment came out. I reached back out and have not heard from them. I spoke with my bank and they stated that they could cancel my debit card (which would be a pain for me) but if they have auto update in their system, it wouldn't work anyway. They also suggested I reach out to them again and let them know I would contact you. I noticed another withdrawal and decided I would just reach out to you to see what I can do. I would like the money returned to me plus the amount of the unused sessions -- it was their errors that caused me to have so many unused sessions.

I had a frozen contract for membership fees and personal training due to a shoulder injury. When it came time for the contract renewal I decided to cancel. I stopped in the location on 2-5-24 a bit after 1:00pmz. I signed the forms to cancel the gym membership on a iPad with ***** and then met with ***** and signed the forms for the PT. I was told at the time the gym membership would be cancelled ASAP and 1 more payment would be take out and the PT that 2 more would be in February 2024. On 3/18 I ask to confirm both contract were cxd and was told that the gym one was and the PT one was missing. That he wasnt sure what happened to it. I went in on 3/19 and signed it again and asked to be refunded due to there error. I then was told that he needed to check with his boss and see if it could be back tracked. I asked For an update on 3/19 and was told I would hear something by ThE **** I messaged again on 3/25 and was told that he messaged the boss and it was not looked into. I then mes,gd on 3/27 asking for a f/u was told that since the iPad didnt save it was based on his word. Then on 4/1 I had another withdrawal taken out. I messaged again and heard back on 4/2 that he was having a zoom call with the boss about the situation. I f/u up the next day with a timeline for an answer and was told end of week. I heard back on 4/5 that the refund was denied bc it was the pt managers word against the iPad. I signed the cx form 2xs. So now I have had $180 taken out because of an error on their end. Horrible on their end. It is not my fault that the forms Did not save. I signed them. I asked for the bosses contact so I could contact him myself and was not given the requested info. I explained that I am going through divorce and did not budget that $ since the contract was cxd. $180 to Anytome fitness is a drop in a bucket. Me its ALOT OF $. This gym needs to refund me. It was their error not mine!! I want my $180 refunded!!!
