      Account # *********** Amount $248 This law firm is charging me for services but I never signed any form of agreement nor was any cost discussed with me. I called this firm for about an landlord/tent situation. I dont agree with these charges. The only thing they sent me was a bill explaining what they did. And now they are harassing me to pay this bill via email.

      **************** contacted **** Law Firm seeking advice  regarding a landlord/tenant matter.  Attorney *****************************, an experienced real estate attorney, responded to **************** and was provided a residential rental agreement and related documentation for review.  **************** had specific questions relating to notice and entry under the documentation.  Attorney ******** reviewed the rental agreement and related documentation, reviewed applicable statutory and administrative code provisions, and responded to ******************** questions in a phone conference.  Attorney ******** billed 8/10 of an hour for his services at his regular hourly rate.

      Attorney ******** reasonably believed that the fee for services would be under $1000, and under the Rules of Professional Conduct, a written representation/fee agreement was not required.  **************** was provided with a written statement itemizing the specific services and time spent on the services.  At no time prior, during, or after the services were provided was it ever requested or discussed that services be provided pro **** (free of charge), or at a reduced rate.  The BBB complaint is the first time **** Law Firm was made aware of any objection to the statement.

      While we believe the statement represents a fair and reasonable fee for the services provided, we are willing to write off the statement in full, and discontinue the reminder notices, in an effort to resolve the complaint. Since our action exceeds the requested settlement, we assume this matter is closed.
