      I purchased a watch from watchco.com on September 27th 2023 order #****-SH. It was a Christmas present that I eventually changed my mind on owning and contacted **** at watchco to return it. They have a generous 365 day return policy if the watch is in new condition with all the tags attached. This watch was eligible and I returned the watch on March 22nd 2024. I have since been trying to get my refund. I originally placed the order through PayPal and have contacted them several times due to the fact that **** tells me it is their fault. PayPal has no record of any refund being attempted by anyone on my transaction. They now have the watch and my money and apparently have no intention of refunding it.

      Our company submitted the refund request to PayPal upon successful inspection of the returned item from the buyer. However, PayPal rejected the refund stating this:

      "You are over the time limit to perform a refund on this transaction"

      We informed PayPal that we need the buyer's funds that it kept from us after it rejected the refund request. Currently, we awaiting a response from PayPal and the funds. The moment we receive the funds from the buyer's chosen payment method, we will obviously be sending them directly to the buyer.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      The business is lying.  I have spoken to PayPal and they will process the return when watchco does it.  Prove that you are in contact with PayPal about my issue.  How do you open a claim in my behalf like they stated without having some type of claim number.

      We are obviously not lying and the buyer has already been refunded in full after we received the buyer's funds from PayPal and sent them to the buyer. We are happy to provide proof of the refund as well should the BBB want it. Since this review may be shared publicly, we will not post the buyer's sensitive personal info here.

      Communications with **** were unhelpful and did not answer my questions as to why they had my money, but had not shipped the item I paid for. He was rude, unhelpful and apathetic to as to when or where my product was. I asked for a refund and got no response. May seek legal action for fraud if they continue to ignore taking my money without shipping me the item I ordered.

      We went back and looked at the communication between this potential buyer and our customer service representative. We don't see any instances where our representative was "rude, unhelpful and apathetic to as to when or where" the potential buyer's product was. We also do not see any messages sent by the potential buyer that were not responded to.

      We also informed the potential buyer that since no item was ever shipped, our company never transferred any funds from the potential buyer's account. This was explained to the buyer, and our customer service representative even apologized. However, this potential buyer responded with emails with profanity including--but not limited to--the following:

      "This is f****** ridiculous."

      "My wife and I shut a company like yours down 2 years ago. Looks like your next. Fool around and find out."

      "Hopefully you get enough complaints where you get shut down."

      "Companies like you dont learn until someone punches you in the wallet."

      Clearly, this potential buyer has an agenda here, including threatening us with fiscal penalties and trying to end our business that has been in good standing for more than three decades. We've never done business with this person and would encourage other companies to do the same based on their responses to our emails.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They Finally refunded my money only after I took action against them. They are still shady.
