  We found that our facility's PLC had failed at approximately 3:30 PM, my technician called Werner Electric at 3:45 PM to determine if they had one in stock, he was told that Werner did have it in stock, so my technician told the Werner rep that he was about an hour away, and asked what are the store hours, he was told the store closes at 5:00 PM. He arrived at 4:40 PM and was told that he would not be able to pick up the PLC because it would take the warehouse 30 minutes to deliver it. Obviously, this should have been part of the discussion before he left, something like, we close at 5:00 but the order will need to be placed before 4:30 if you would like to pick it up tonight, would you like to provide a credit card and place this order. Werner was unwilling to work 10 minutes extra, even though the sales person must surely have known that they could have done a better job with the initial call. Clearly Werner doesn't get it, this technician was 3 hours away from home, so a hotel was needed. Worse the facility was down for an additional 16 hours. To add insult to injury the next morning he called to place the order and drove to the shop 30 minutes later only to be told that his card did not go thru. They should have immediately called him back to tell him this, and determined which number was transposed. I have never delt with a company that is this oblivious to customer service. I called to talk with a manager and was transferred to Mike Blane, I left a message requesting a call to discuss this but my call was not returned.
