    On October 22, 2023 my son was involved in an accident where he left the roadway and rolled over my wife's vehicle. Augusta Tire and Auto was called by the Eau Clarie county sheriff department to come with a flatbed tow truck to retrieve the vehicle. The following day I called and spoke with ***** about towing information and to retrieve contents of the vehicle. He had advised me that the vehicle was totaled, and said he would call some salvage yards to buy the vehicle and get back to me once it was sold and asked that I bring the title along when I come. I went up to Augusta Tire and Auto, removed the contents from the vehicle, gave ***** information related to AAA insurance to cover the towing, and the title for the vehicle. I had not heard from ***** in over a month, so I called to inquire what the status was for the vehicle, he told me it was purchased for $800.00 and would get a check out to me. I have talked and texted with him at least four times since then where he has stated he would mail the check, the check was mailed, he will cancel the previous check and mail a new one, and lastly when I reach out on January 2nd, he texted he was sorry and forgot to mail the check, asked for my information and the amount owed again, and then later texted he mailed it. That last statement of it being mailed was over 2 weeks ago. It appears as if this business has no intention of actually paying the funds owed for the vehicle,
