I am filing this complaint to report my negative experience with Rising Tide Design Co., a company that markets itself as a small, U.S.-based business offering custom, handcrafted furniture. My husband and I placed an order for a furniture set on December 13, 2024, with the companys website clearly stating a delivery timeframe of 1416 ******** of today, it has been 23 weeks since we placed our order, & I have not received the furniture. There has been no proactive communication from the company regarding these delays. ZERO communication about delays. After multiple unreturned emails and messages, I only received a response when I publicly raised concerns on social media. The owner, ****, refunded one small item and delivery and promised delivery within a specific timeframe, but again failed to follow through and has since ceased communication. I don't want a refund for a small portion. I WANT OUR FURNITURE.When I posted about these issues publicly, my comments were deleted, and the company has attempted to silence any negative feedback.I later discovered that their products are actually manufactured overseas (in *****), which contradicts their branding as a local small business. Additionally, the companys ******** page was previously managed by individuals located in ***** and Malaysiathis information has since been hidden. I am not the only customer experiencing these problems; I have seen multiple reports online of similar delays (up to 8 months) and poor service.I am requesting the IMMEDIATE Delivery of Our Furniture, with Tracking Information Provided, and prompt and continuous communication with the owner. A review of Rising Tide Design Co.'s marketing practices, especially their failure to disclose overseas manufacturing and delivery timelines. That the company be held accountable for deceptive business practices and lack of customer support.

I thought we were already squared away here from my last correspondence with the customer *****. I've attached a copy of the order here along with the last correspondence. We were running behind on it. They had some urgent family gathering which they required furniture for. We thus provided them some temporary furniture to hold them over while their furniture as in transit, while also fully refunding their order. ***** asked for an ottoman, which we added to the order for free as well. Between the temporary furniture and the correct furniture, we'll have provided seven pieces of furniture, all free of charge.

If the customer is asking for something further, I'm unaware from email correspondence and frankly don't know what else we can do. I'd like to think we've already gone well above and beyond here.

Posting about RISING TIDE DESIGN COMPANY I placed an order for a leather Chesterfield loveseat and chair with Rising Tide Design ** on August 24. Unfortunately, I did not receive the items until March 25, resulting in an eight-month delay. To exacerbate the situation, the pieces arrived in an incorrect color. Initially, the company expressed a willingness to assist with a refund, a reorder, or an exchange; however, I have since experienced a complete lack of communication from them. I wish to make potential customers aware that #********************** has a significant presence on social media platforms such as ********, Instagram, and Reddit, which may create the impression that their products are manufactured at their warehouse in *********. In reality, the items are sourced from *****, leading to extensive delivery times. A notable red flag is the absence of a contact telephone number for the company. This predicament has persisted since the delivery in March. Their website claims that customers are entitled to a full refund, yet I find myself at a loss, having invested thousands of dollars in furniture that I am unable to utilize.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I wanted to share an update about my experience with Rising Tide Design Co. I have to give them a big shoutout for how they handled my situation! They sent me a brand new sofa and chair in the color I originally ordered, straight to my doorstep. Plus, they refunded my order, which was a nice surprise. I'm really happy with the furniture it looks great! Thank you, Rising Tide!

    Regards,
