    bill for different providers sent all on one bill once a month..send back pay stub with payment sent $500.00 on 12/5/22-$250.00 on 1/6/23 $200.00 on 2/3/23 $150.00 on 2/13/23 $27.13 on 2/8/23 and same ***(they did not cash it) on 2/18/23 $27.40 on 2/14/23 AND same *** on 2/18/23 because they did not cash the first...they wanted payments of $132 and some cents a month, as you can see I have been paying more---now I got a bill from a collection agency!!! HOW? I have been paying--now they are going to wreck me credit!!!!! What do I do! I need your help!! thanks, **** ***

    I did contact their billing on 2/21/23,since I got a bill from a collections agency,and wanted to find out why since I was paying.---I talked to Crista.She was HORRIBLE/disrespectful kept saying she was going to hang up on me--had me crying and then picked on me for that and kept saying she was going to hang up.She said I was not paying what they wanted a month-but nothing on their pay stub(like credit card bills that say minimum due is)--I DO NOT read the entire bill nor am a mathematician able to decipher what they want---I am old and don't get a lot of the new technology--so if they want so much-why not just say...now my credit is shot-I am unable to sleep--this bothers me BAD! I pay my bills! Then to get yelled at by the one who is suppose to help!! What is this world coming to? Thanks again for the help and just for you to listen.

    This letter is in response to a letter dated March 17, 2023, from the Better Business Bureau of ********* (BBB)
    notifying ThedaCare, **** (ThedaCare) of a complaint filed by ********************************* alleging billing or collection
    issues (the Complaint). After further review of this account, the Complaint has been filed by the patients spouse,
    ********************************* (Spouse). The patient is ***************************** (Patient).
    The Patients balance was sent to collections on February 3, 2023, prior to the Patient/Spouse reaching out to
    ThedaCare regarding the balance owed. Beginning October 27, 2022, the Patient was sent four (4) statements prior
    to this account being sent into collections. One statement was sent to the Patient via email and the other three
    statements were mailed directly to the Patient. The final statement, printed on January 19, 2023, has a Final Notice
    stating: FINAL NOTICE: Our records indicate you have an ACCOUNT THAT WILL BE SENT TO
    COLLECTIONS without further notice. Contact our office immediately to make payment arrangements. We
    welcome the opportunity to assist you in resolving any billing concerns." (See Exhibit A attached hereto).
    The Patient/Spouse communicated with ThedaCare via MyThedaCare on February 2, 2023, and was informed at
    that after the issuance of four statements, if there is not payment in full or a payment plan set up, the account falls
    into collections. It appears that the Patient reviews the statements and sends in individual payments to the providers.
    When payments are received, the payment is applied to the oldest balance due regardless of what date of service or
    provider they are intending to pay. ThedaCare has been working with the Patient to set up a payment plan for the
    current balance due which has not yet fallen into collections. However, the balance due from August 8 to August
    9, 2022 was sent to collections prior to the Patient contacting us to arrange for a payment plan. As long as the
    Patient pays the amount of $120.75 agreed to as of February 21, 2023, the additional balance will not fall into
    collections. Additionally, the Patient should contact ThedaCares billing team to establish a payment plan for their
    remaining balance and pull back the amounts owed from collections.
    ThedaCare makes all efforts to be transparent with its patients to the extent it can in the complicated area of billing.
