    On April 6th 2023, I paid ******* to Yellowstone Lake Chalet Campground for my families seasonal lot beginning April 15,2023 ending October 8,2023. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency and health issues we had to remove our camper and move out of the campsite on August 7th, 2023. We never signed any agreements when originally paying for the season. When we asked for a refund for the months of September and October for a total ******, we were told that we actually owed the owners ****** because they revert to the monthly rate of ******. We did not pay any money nor do we think this is acceptable. We would like a full refund of the 2 months that our camper as well as personal belongings were not on the property. Please note we have been staying at Yellowstone Lake Chalet for more than 12 years and have never had an issue until this year with the new owners

    The customer asked prior to paying for the season about a refund for early departure. At that time, it was explained that the seasonal rate is discounted and therefore cheaper. If departing early we would look at whether the seasonal rate or monthly rate was cheaper and that is what we would go with for determining if a refund would be owed. Customer acknowledged that this was acceptable and paid for the season. 

    At time of departure customer explained that his son wanted to use the camper and they would be departing early due to this reason. He also agreed to clean up the assigned camping area as is in the rules. They asked for a refund and it was explained no refund was owed. They came in on day of departure asking for a refund again, and at that time it was explained three more times that the seasonal rate was cheaper than the monthly rate so he was not entitled to a refund.  Customer stated that since he was not getting a refund then the cleanup of the lot now became our problem because he will no longer be doing it.

    The total amount owed at the monthly, seasonal, and daily rates for 3 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days totals $1793.50. So that is a total he would owe of $422. The charge for the clean up for the lot is $200. At this time the amount owed to the campground is $622.00.
