    We had half a beef processed at Brandon meats their paperwork stated that on a half of beef the hanging weight is approximately 400 pounds and that we would get approximately 240 to 280 pounds take home meat depending on what cut we had. When we picked up our order we weighed it and it was 189 pounds. We feel we are missing 50 to 60 pounds of beef. We contacted them immediately because they did not process some of our cuts the way we had asked for example round steak was supposed to be made into Swiss steak and it wasnt and we were supposed to receive the ***** or fat from the animal which we did not The beef tenderloin was to be packaged three tenderloins per package at 8 ounces each we received two per package weighing 6 ounces each. We called them twice to discuss this issue they asked us to make a list of what we actually received and send it to them and asked if we would come and meet them and bring some of our steaks to show them how small the steaks were. We did that yesterday and after driving 40 minutes to talk to them knowing we had an appointment to meet with them they offered nothing and did not explain the difference in weight other than it was a smaller animal. On their paperwork it says the hanging weight of our 1/2 beef was 389 pounds per our receipt and according to that we should have received 240 pounds minimum . We did have the bones taken out of the meat so we were planning instead of the 280 pounds on the lighter side of the 240. They were not very customer oriented or detail oriented and obviously their customers dont matter. Our neighbors also received a whole beef at the same time that was processed at Brandon meets and they are experiencing the same issues. They will also probably be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as conversations with ****** ****** and **** have gotten us nowhere. We just want the rest of our meat back .
