My 95 year old Mother pre-arranged her funeral through Church & Chapel a few years ago. When she passed at 98 I found working with C&C frustrating. First I was dealing with the office help, Wendy, who was great! Then as the funeral got closer I was dealing Kevin Jorgenson, funeral director, who did pretty much nothing. Never called back when he said he would. Didn't seem to know anything nor want to do anything with regard to dealing with the church which my Mom had prepaid for! I was supposed to do it all even though I live in AZ. Made an insensitive remarks about having siblings to help with the luncheon - they are deceased. He talked and talked but never said anything. Then on the day of the funeral, there is a misspelling of of my Mother's last name on the church program. I forget the fellows name from C&C, but he comes up to me and BLAMES MY MOTHER SAYING IT WAS HER LAST JOKE!!! because even though it was corrected months ago, they were going by some handwritten obituary my Mother gave them that was full of errors... she was 95 for god's sake! Plus, that wasn't one of her errors! It wasn't the error, but the blaming of my Mother for Church & Chapels mistake! TACKY TACKY! TACKY! Also hole for cremains wasn't dug large enough for the container. I wanted to be there when she was buried, but couldn't. Go somewhere else because you'll be doing all the work or it won't get done.
