Previously purchased a punch card of passes for my three kids. My youngest was invited to a birthday party on ******. As I was the sole parent that day my plan was to bring my 4 year old to the party and my other two kids would come along as the location was open to the public. The staff would not allow my 2 kids in unless we paid for entry to the birthday party, which is considerably more expensive. I explained my situation and the staff was rude and made no attempt to understand my situation, only referenced that it is the corporate policy that anyone related to someone going to a party would have to pay the price for a party. Their only solution was to contact corporate. When I asked for a refund on the unused punch card they would not even discuss it with me and said to contact corporate. When I contacted "corporate" via their general website they replied to me with information about party pricing vs general admission and said they consider the case closed. To be clear, I did not want my two older kids at a 5 year old birthday party, but I also didn't want to leave my kids at home alone. The solution was that I left my 4 year old at this party, asked other parents to help watch her, and then took the other two home. There is absolutely no reason they couldn't have let my kids in, with a purchased general admission. Also, if there were two adults in our party it seems like they would have let me in with the party invite and the other two in separately. This is discriminatory against a single parent and felt like they were trying to extort extra entry fees from me because I was alone. The entire situation was very uncomfortable and their unwillingness to discuss a solution was insulting. I want a refund on my punch card as I was denied using it for general admission, which is what I purchased the punch card for. If they will not honor the card then I should be refunded the money for the card.
