Was hesitant at first when they approached me to do an article featuring myself and spouse - but decided to give it a try. It turned out to be very smooth and professionally handled - both the fact/background gathering (and subsequent 1st draft proofreading and fixing up) as well as the photographer who met us at the suggested location, put us at ease, and took a battery of pictures - emailed to us so we could "block" any we didn't like for whatever reason - but left a wide selection for the editors to chose from - even my wife approved of the pictures featuring her - a very high - and not usually attained - standard.Yes - would do it again and recommend to others faced with this opportunityBest Version Media, LLC

The company placed an ad which I disliked and never offered a refund. Yet, they desire for customer to continue to pay for ads and magazines that do not benefit your company. Misrepresentation is used to get funds with techniques that do not work. Adjustments are not made to benefit the customer. The company wastes your money then tries to sue you when things go wrong. This was a mistake and I do not desire to work with company again. I desire to close my account and forget future dealing with this company.Best Version Media, LLC

This client has completely misrepresented our relationship. Each ad was approved by the client have the email approvals to prove it. We have tried to work with this client on making adjustments to the contract and we have received nasty calls and emails as a response. Totally unprofessional. We have provided this client with everything we they have contracted for and have bent over backwards to make this work.Kyra F

Thank you for the update. The client did not do the first ad and magazine correctly. I have emails that mentioned the dislike of the picture and words used for the first ad and magazine. No refund was offered. I have not made anything from my association with Best Version / Affinity Media. I am in debt with no results.Currently, the company is trying to collect over $12,000 for a 3-year relationship that needs to end. The emails were strong because of harassment of collection calls and emails. I desire to be free from a dictatorship. Thank you for assisting me with this issue. To start, my experience of working with my area’s publisher was overall a positive one. She was always very personable and dedicated. The publication itself has a quality aesthetic as well. That’s where the positivity ends, however. As far as the ROI for the marketing investment itself, it yielded basically ZERO. I’ve been paying nearly $450 each month for a 3/4-to-full page spread for over a year now that includes an ad and a different article written by myself (about 500 words each). I’ve received positive feedback from my existing clientele who receive the free mailer, but I have not gained a single new client from it (aside from the publisher’s sister because she purchased her some sessions with me). I even did all the work to design my ad because I could do a better job than their own, paid designer. The worst part is that I’m trapped in their legally binding contract for another 2 years. At best, it’s a massively overpriced waste of a marketing expense and a monthly financial obligation with no reciprocation. At worst, it’s an abusive marriage with no way out until the contract term expires. This aught to be illegal.Best Version Media, LLC

SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!! DO NOT work with Best Version Media!! Unfortunately I signed a 2-year contract for Neighbors of Eden Prairie magazine and couldn’t wait for it to end. I emailed Brittany (editor) several months ago asking when my contract ended Last month I was so happy making (what I thought was) my last payment. To my surprise, I was charged $189 the next month. I immediately emailed Brittany and Best Version Media. The next day I called their 1-800 number and received an emailing stating my contract auto-renewed because I didn’t cancel it. I DIDN’T KNOW MY CONTRACT AUTO RENEWS. Amazon, Headspace and all of my yearly subscriptions always tell me when my account will auto-renew. It had been over 2 years since I signed and a good business practice would've been to tell me the date the contract will auto-renew. If I had been told, I would’ve canceled because it’s been a WASTE OF MONEY. I’m also not getting my $189 back which they made very clear in the email. Very shady business practice in my opinion! As a business owner, I would never blindside my clients like this because that’s exactly how it feels. BVM magazines remain one of the best ways for businesses to reach a local audience every month. Our local reps communicate all terms before the signing of any ad agreement. In this case, our home office did not get work of this client not wanting to renew their contract until after they were charged for another month. This money was refunded. This company has been completely unprofessional. Not only did I participate for over 1 year - paying thousands, when I let the representative know I was not satisfied, there was no response or effort to improve. When ads were sent in the 3-4 months of last year - No proofs were ever supplied and no proof of any printing = I have only seen one copy of a magazine over a year ago and never have seen proof of my ads - it was not until I sent a registered letter to corporate that I even received a phone call - to find out my rep was changed months earlier and still no resolution.I have asked for a cancellation of a contract - They have not fulfilled what was promised - they have acted unprofessional - It has felt as a scam - No reputable company would need a 3 year contract --Best Version Media, LLC

Our experience was a very good one. Everyone involved was professional and nice to work with. We were very happy with the photographs and the story written about our family. Now we have recent photos of our whole family that we probably wouldnt have because our children are grown, and its hard to find time for us all to get together. Plus, we have our story in print that we can keep forever.Best Version Media, LLC

Hundreds of dollars a month, no results and I can never reach anyone. There is no way to reach anyone in this company. From reading the reviews below it seems if we cut off the credit card their collections dept will magically reach out. Disgraceful. We signed on with a rep who soon after left for green pastures and left the magazine and its clients in limbo. We've been at the mercy of a faceless entity for over a year now. You can't cancel and you also can't reach anyone. Avoid like the plague.Best Version Media, LLC
