I had a very frustrating experience with this real estate company during the sale of a family home to my daughter after my grandfather passed away. The property was supposed to transfer through a Transfer on Death Deed, which listed my two aunts and my mother as beneficiaries. Unfortunately, the real estate company demonstrated a clear lack of understanding of how this legal process works. They didnt seem to know who needed to sign what, and their confusion and incompetence caused significant strain within our family during an already difficult time.Even after the sale, when I reached out with questions to try and clarify what had gone wrong, they completely ignored me. Their unwillingness to communicate or take responsibility made an already stressful situation worse. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone especially if your situation involves anything beyond the most basic real estate transaction.

01/31/24 Our accepted offer was prepared by ************************************** of Shorewest Realty of Northern Door County, not our own listing agent. An ad offered our property furnished; however as per the actual written contract, the buyers ONLY listed the appliances in the inclusion section, nothing else. NO communication within the six week period between acceptance and closing dates came from either the buyers or ***H expressing any interest in our furniture. As the closing date approached, we secured a truck and movers to remove all of our furnishings. Only ***H did a subsequent walkthrough and one day prior to closing, an email from ***H was forwarded to us with threats of litigation against us by the buyers should we decide not to remedy the "furniture situation" that the she herself created. Our options were either 1) to return all furniture or 2) reducing the already accepted purchase price by $20K. We were appalled by her heavy handed  tactics to bully us into thinking we were in the wrong! We chose to disregard these unrealistic options and also the indecision re: confirming the closing date. Ultimately, the sale went through; however, the undeserved, intimidating, and negative treatment we received by ***H, in an effort to succumb to her demands, was very stressful and we;re sure must have violated the realtor's code of ethics. It may be advised that ********************************* enroll in a refresher course on reading contracts and writing offers to avoid making rookie mistakes in the future!

While acting as POA for the sale of my mother's condo, we made the mistake of trusting an early no-contingency offer from a buyer client of Shorewest Realtor's ******************** Two rescheduled close dates later, we were finally told Shorewest's client couldn't close until she closed on the sale of her own home first. A web search of the buyer's name revealed Shorewest's agent, *******************************, was both the representing agent for the bogus no-contingency offer AND the agent for the sale of the home preventing our buyer from closing on time. Who knows how much money my mother lost out on because I trusted the competence and/or ethics of Shorewest Realtors? I'm not an expert and nobody is responding to me, but this does not pass the smell test, and we are considering a legal investigation, including Shorewest's relationship with the bank's loan officer that signed-off on the buyer's finances.
