      I initially scheduled myself to complete an AHA CPR First Aid course on 2/1/2025 with APHE. The day before the class, I received a voicemail and email that the class was cancelled and that I should reschedule. However, with being a full time graduate student completing a full time clinical rotation, it took me a while to respond via email and voicemail. To add, I needed to complete this certification by the end of February, and none of the courses offered by ACHE worked for my schedule. I do understand that it is stated on the website that all sales are final, but realistically it is irritating that I can't get a refund for services that were never provided to me and that they cancelled the class on me, not the other way around. I would understand if I had cancelled the class, but that certainly wasn't the case. They offered me the option to give the money I spent to someone else to take a course or find another class to take. I feel that it is unrealistic for many people to find a friend to give the money to or take a random class when I already got my certification somewhere else. I'm personally disappointed and I wish that as a small business, they would simply provide me a refund at this rate.

      My experience with them started ok, until 2 days later.The website was confusing so I called them directly to sign up for a CPR class.They were having technical issues with their phones,they could not hear my voice but I could hear them. I waited about 30 minutes and called again with success. I signed up for the class ($79.00) and purchased a soft cover manual ($24.00) which they would send out immediately so I'd receive it in time.I placed my order on Jan24, 2023 and the class was on Mon Jan 30, 2024. They called me on Fri Jan 26 and said they didn't get the book sent out and all their computer systems were still down. The man I spoke with said there was no option except for the e-book. I told him again that I do not want an e-book. He told me his manager won't be in until Mon (the day of the class). I had no options.I needed to complete the class for employment by Feb 13.They offered no other classes in my area. He was not authorized to make a refund. He'd leave a note for manager Cynthia and due to their system failures I'd likely get a refund. I called Cynthia Mon and told her my issue. She said their systems were still down but she'd put through a refund because of the issues they were having and told me it may take a while. I said that was fine,I'd call her if I didn't see it come through. I gave it 2 weeks and called again. She said it may 3 weeks.As of March 8th, 2024,no refund so called again. Cynthia was not available.She left message stating I was a "no call no show to the class on Jan 30th and a refund would not be issued".She took no responsibility and as a consumer I held her accountable. I contacted ******** Card and filed a dispute. I do want to stress that ******** Card is excellent in their customer service, I love them! Cynthia called me back the next day and left a message that they will NOT be refunding me and have a nice day. This company did not take responsibility for their services and failed technical issues.

Unfortunately, your interaction with us was at the most unfortunate time in the 17 year history of our company. The company that provided our web hosting was the victim of a cyber attack on January 25, 2024. We were not able to access our administration website with registration and payment information for over two weeks. As your story explains, there was a lot of confusion during that time, and I apologize for the trouble and the frankness of our team. We all were extremely stressed out by the situation, and it is unfortunate that you were treated the way that you were. I see that your Discover Card did credit you back for your payment. Please know that we have moved to a new registration system on a new host, so our technical issues are resolved. Although I understand why you would not, I hope and ask that you do give us a try again in the future for your certifications. Please allow us to show you how kind, helpful and capable our staff truly can be and how wonderful our classes and instructors are.Best wishes,****
