      On 9/19/ 2021 I hired Wind River Construction to demolish an existing aluminum prefabricated sun-room, then install cedar bevel siding on the newly exposed side of the house which was previously indoor space. The existing sun-room sub-frame was to be inspected and if possible reused to support a new deck that they would build. I would purchase the new cedar bevel siding and major materials for the new deck.I paid the $3,100 startup fee due at signing. I Stated to the owner of Wind River during his visit I would like this project done by the onset of Winter; he did not reply to my statement.One problem was that their Contractor License was expired and I told him ******************** would not begin without it. It was eventually renewed.The continuous problem was their lack of providing me information. I asked for a schedule of when the work would be started and completed but that was never provided.Five months after hiring this company the only thing they accomplished was submitting a demolition permit.In February I told them I was cancelling the contract. I immediately received a text that a crew would be over that week to demolish the sun-room. I said no thanks, but later agreed to their proposal to reduce the scope of work to completing the demolition to fulfill the demolition permit and ending Wind Rivers work on the job.Their crew was supposed to arrive on 2/14/2022 for demolition but did not show up or contact me. The next morning they were still a no show and then Wind River called and asked how the demolition was going. By then I was fed up with the games this company was playing and said the project with Wind River was over.I paid $3,100 in good faith for this project and after five months had nothing but a demolition permit to show for it.for it. I am seeking a refund of my payment minus the cost of applying for the permit and a lien release.

       There were many underlying issues with this job during Covid -19 time frames . workers were scheduled to do job and didn't make it to job site and terminate for non appearance . 

        Many homeowner ****************** to drop everything and do there work first and now.

        as a company during Covid -19 time frames many contractors just could not meet the demands .

        We did offer to start work and could have in one day . but homeowner refused and said he hired another contractor .

        We then called and canceled the work permit in our company name and advised our company attorney and sent notice.

        Due to work demand and overloaded ************** we have offered a settlement to ************* and are awaiting answer.

        We have attached copy of notice and settlement offer as advised by company attorneys.
