On April 28, 2022 I purchased two tickets for the collective soul/Switchfoot concert at the *********** County ********* fair that was to take place on July 23, 2022. On July 23 when the concert was supposed to happen, the weather was horrible and had been predicted to be horrible for 24 hours prior to the concert. I reached out to the fair board before traveling two hours and they insisted the concert was still happening so I drove all the way. Upon my arrival to the fairgrounds an announcement was made that the fair was closing from 5:30 PM to 7 PM while the storm went through. That got delayed until 7:30 PM and they assured us the concert would go on at 8:30 PM or a little later if lightning was still in the area. They finally let us in to the grandstand seating and the opening band which was Switchfoot started playing at 8:40 PM. They played six songs and made an announcement that we all had to leave again. We waited in a tent until 9:30 PM and then they closed the entire fair and told us there would be no concert. I paid $92 for two bands and I got six songs from the first band Switchfoot and nothing from the headlining band Collective Soul. I emailed the county fair on July 25, 2022 and I got a response from someone named *********************** that said they were working on a resolution. I have heard nothing since July 25 and I have sent two more unanswered emails. I am asking for a full refund of my $92 or at bare minimum the majority of my money back because the opening band Switchfoot did sing six songs. This was very poorly handled and the county fair board or whoever was making the decisions put a lot of peoples lives at risk because they kept telling us the concert would happen amongst all of the tornado warnings. And then the fairgrounds was finally closed and they have not accommodated anyone that purchased tickets.
