      We purchased home in april 2025. The freezer had an ice machine that did not work. Mr. Place arrived and said the entire ice maker was shot and needed replacement. We replaced the ice maker for over $400 and no ice. They came back, said we needed a $78 part. That was replaced, no ice. They send a new guy, he says the line is frozen, thaws it, insulates the line with duct tape, and walla we have ice. He got us a refund for the ice maker, but not the $78 part. But whatever, we had ice, so I didnt care. Having no faith this would last, I asked the guy before he left, what happens if it freezes again? Whats the end game? We have a home warranty and we need a fridge that makes ice. The employee says that his boss will not say the fridge is no good, because he wants us to have to keep calling them to fix it. The guy leaves, and all week the freezer is covered in from and the ice is wet looking. We notice that the freezer (a bottom drawer on sliders) isnt sealing. I call them back AGAIN, and he fixes that, but breaks my freezer handle while doing it. He calls me in, TELLS ME HE BROKE MY FREEZER HANDLE and then spends the next hour trying to watch videos in my kitchen on how to fix it. He does, sort of. He tells me he ***** rigged it, that it wasnt going to hold, and that his boss would call me in the morning, and at best hed probably offer to tell our home warranty company the fridge was shot if we turn around and buy one of their scratch and dents. The owner never calls. I drop it because the handle worked for months anyway. The ***** rig gave way and the handle is loose. **** says we have to buy a new freezer door for $400 and its not his employees fault. HE BROKE IT and they took our door off 5 times!!! Now I have to buy a fridge without my warranty money. He wont file the claim, or replace my freezer. He needs to do one or the other.
