When going to Vyper's website there is a pop up that asks you to answer questions to help recommend which of their products would suit your needs and to sign up for their marketing list in exchange for a promo code to get 5% off your order. It does not give you the promo code until you complete it and submit your email address. There is no mention of any restrictions on the use of the promo code when they initially offer it or in the email they send that includes it. When I tried to place my order it said the promo code couldn't be applied because I was purchasing a combo that already had some discount applied. I decided to submit the order anyways assuming I missed some fine print somewhere stating the exclusions on the promo code. However the next day I took another look and there is no exclusions listed anywhere in the email or their website. I contacted their sales chat, I spoke to *****. He said he was unable to apply the advertised discount to my order, said he would talk to management to see if they would approve it, they did not. I even offered to buy an additional product if they would honor the advertised promo code and they declined. Then he stated he has brought this concern to management several times and they refuse to do anything about it. So it is 100% clear they are knowingly falsely advertising a promo code to gather potential customers contact information. I attached copies of my invoice, chat and email I received with the promo code. The advertisement for the promo code can be seen on your visit to their website vyperindustrial.com and the terms and conditions on their website do not show any exclusions related to that promo code.

Our sales manager ***** has been in contact with the complainant about this issue and we have honored the discount as displayed, please see the attachment. By no means was this in any way to try and mislead as it was just a simple mistake on our end. Our website development team is working on getting this fixed right away. We apologize for the inconvenience and the confusion that this mistake may have caused.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

***** contacted me after Vyper received the complaint filed through BBB.   They did process the refund for the 5% owed to me, so that aspect is taken care of.   However he just made excuses and downplayed the false advertising.   They still have not corrected their advertising so they are still collecting customer information promising a discount code but putting exclusions on using it without a disclaimer.   He is also trying to say the misrepresentation was unintentional, when one of their employees said he has brought this specific concern to management several times and they refuse to correct it.   Had I not filed the complaint I wouldn't have received the refund and they are still doing the same thing to other customers that they did to me.

    Regards,
