Mighty Decent Auto installed a new engine in my 2009 ****** Forester, they told me at the time that the engine would be covered under a warranty if I installed a new water pump a new timing belt and a new head gasket. I went ahead and paid extra for those items to be installed. After driving the car for 4 months the head gasket failed causing exhaust gas to get in the coolant line (I have an expert mechanic who will attest to this). I called Mighty Decent Auto and they claimed the coolant line popped off the radiator and that is what caused the head gasket failure. I asked repeatedly for Mighty Decent Auto if a new head gasket was installed and they are refusing to reply to my messages. They are overall non responsive, I would like to get this resolved as we don't have a vehicle to drive.

Sorry to hear you had car problems. On 06/06/2023 you posted 2 negative reviews pertaining to Mighty Decent Auto. One with the BBB viewable on this site and another with ****** reviews stating,

"They installed a used motor in my Forester that went bad after 3 months due to a negligent install that busted off a ****** where the radiator hose connects which caused car to overheat."

Now the head gasket caused the problem. If a vehicle is being driven and begins to run hot it should be turned off as soon a safely possible then the leaking part can be replaced. If a vehicle is driven hot and continues to be driven it can damage a brand new, redesigned, and reinforced head gasket as well as many other components of an engine, the owner.

The listing stated all the repairs that were done to the car, the brakes are in great condition and the tires have 75% tred life on them. Car was listed at $7999 and purchased for $7499 (there is a tear in the leather on a seat)I called the dealership and the owner answered, said the car was in great condition. While we were there the owner made many comments about how he needs to sell/get rid of many cars because the city was threatening to close his business for having too much inventory.I made multiple comments how important it was for us to have a reliable vehicle and he assured me that ****** is the one of the best and promised the vehicle was carefully looked over and tuned up by his in house mechanic. We purchased the car and right away the check engine light came on the brakes did not work properly and oil was leaking from the car. I sent him a text message and he said he would make the necessary repairs so that I would be happy after being suspicious of this dealer we purchased a carfax and found out the vehicle was a total loss vehicle due to an accident that occurred some ***** miles before we purchased the vehicle (no records exist for the car in that ***** mile gap)We requested our money back and he refused. He said he would fix the car.We dropped the car off on Wednesday November 2nd. We did not hear anything from him for over a week. He was ignoring all of our calls and texts. I had a friend call from a different number and he immediately answered. My wife then called from her work phone and he was forced to confront the situation. He said his mechanic has been sick and offered no solution. It has now been 20 days since he has had this vehicle. He called yesterday and said he fixed the brakes and the oil leak. Now telling us we would need to give him about $3200 to fix the rest. He told us about problems with the car that we didnt experience in the few days we owned it.He lied about everything and disclosed nothing. Sold us a death trap.
