Control Group sold me a mini split heat/ac unit for cash. It had to be green cash. *** the salesman said he would order only after I paid cash.I did so and in late April of 2024 it arrived so I picked it up. It was scheduled to be installed on the Friday before Labor Day weekend of 2024. I paid him extra $800 to provide a start up on the unit otherwise he said there would be no warranty. I did have a friend install the unit during the construction process. The service was then pushed back 2 weeks by the company. A tech from the company did come out to start up the unit it was very late in the day and the tech was using very many swear words during the process which was very unprofessional. Did not get the unit stated up because he said he did not have the right parts. 2 weeks went by and we had to call the company to inquire when the unit would be completed. They sent the same tech out with the same issues and got some oil into the unit but not started up. Another 2 weeks went by and we had to inquire again about the unit to find out that the tech had left the company and they had no one to complete the unit. Weeks have gone by and we again had to inquire about the unit. Since this company was finding no one to complete and had many excuses I found a reputable company to complete the start up of the unit on September 5 2024 some ***** weeks after the original installation was supposed to happen. We contacted the salesman many times during this time only to hear the same thing. We then asked to talk to the owner of the company and my wife talked to him and explained the situation and the extent of time that had lapsed during all of this. He was not aware at all about the problem. We asked to be refunded the start up money since they had not completed it and the owner was going to check with the salesman. From the second week of September until now some 22 weeks later he will not answer or return our calls.A very frustrated customer
