I boarded my dogs with Cedar Creek Pet Resort from 11/27/2024 to 12/2/2024. I came to pick up my dogs from 5 days of boarding on 12/2/2024. I was in total shock when I saw my dog Shadow. When Shadow came in, he was able to walk, he was older but could still get around. When I picked him up, he could not use his back legs. I had to carry him to my truck. Also upon getting him home, I saw ****** patches on his elbows. He was bleeding from both nostrils, along with discharge and very goopy eyes. He also had no control of his bladder. I do not know what happened while he was there. *ut I am guessing that if he was in that shape when I picked him up, he had to have been like that a while. One of the ladies told me he will probably be really thirsty when he gets home, he couldnt get up to reach the water. We tried moving it a bit closer, but he couldnt move. What? So not only did he lay there in pain (and urine), but he couldnt even get hydrated like he needed to? And to top it off, they took a dog that was in that shape, and STILL gave him a bath on the morning I picked him up? They couldnt make an executive decision that it might be a good idea to skip it? WHY DID I NOT GET A CALL IF HE WAS IN *AD SHAPE? I could have come to pick him up and love on him. Later that afternoon after picking him up, I had to have him euthanized because he was beyond help. I am devastated to think that he suffered his last days and hours. I have NEVER had an experience like this when boarding. It almost seems like since it was a holiday, they had the * team on and they didnt do anything for him. I trusted them with my dog. Now I dont have him anymore. And not to mention the amount I was charged to have him there, with the lack of care or compassion, and no more Shadow.
