Terrible business. They cut my quarter steer incorrectly - 1/2" steaks, not 1" as was clearly marked on the online cut sheet! They gave me parts I did not order and left out parts that I DID order.I will NEVER deal with these people again. I will not risk a $1000 of meat, just to be told "oh sorry". No, YOU are the sorry ones. DON'T ever use these people.

Contacted Customer by phone 3/4/24. tried talking to customer through his issues. ****** asked if he was measuring the bone in steaks that were cut on the bandsaw in a proper way as in the picture he submitted looked to as he was measuring depth vs width. Also did explain to him that our bandsaws has a lockable guide that is set for a certain size. I also did try to explain that it could happen but we for safety hazards don't allow employees to go down that small on the bandsaw. Did also bring up to customer that we could try and investigate and physically look at the steaks and potentially see what could have caused an issue if at all, but during our conversation customer got rude and hung up on me.

I picked up my meat (a whole beef) about two months ago. I noticed when unpacking it and putting in my freezer I did not have any round steaks or Liver. I called right way the next day to see why I was missing items. I was told someone would call me back. No one ever called. I called back again the following week and the same result and the week after and the week after and so on until today someone actually called me and said that they do not see a box will my number on it and I should have received the 12 round steaks and I signed a paper saying I received it. Well it appears I am out ********************************************************************* the rounds steaks, thought that would have helped to maybe locate them but instead the guy on the phone argued that there is no way for the bone to be left in a round steak. I saw in other reviews that they did not get the liver because it was no available I also was told that my liver was not available. If I could leave a negative review I would. This is the second year having them process my meat and ********** I have nothing good to say. Take your meat anywhere else.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We state online and on the cut sheet specifications left in the comments may not be guaranteed. We're sorry to hear about your bad experience.

It is one thing to not guarantee special instructions but to tell me that you can not have a bone in a round steak when every other butcher does tells me you have in experienced butchers. I also noticed there was no response to the fact you shorted me all my round steaks and Liver. From what I have seen and heard this seems to be more common then not. So you selling my lost meat and making more money off the same beef. I would tell anyone and everyone I know with farms in the area to stay clear unless they want to get screwed out of meat and have inexperienced butcher processing their meat. All you have to do is ****** round steak and it clearly has a bone.

Heritage Meats took 5 weeks to get me my hamburger from a grind cow. The burger is full of bone chips. Inexcusable..To make matters worse we were short changed on the amount of hamburger we got back. After comparing the burger that Heritage processed to burger we have had processed elsewhere we dont think we even got our own hamburger back. We will never use them again.

We understand that you brought a "grind" cow, This type of cow is usually over 30mos+ and all cows are different coming in to our processing plant. We cant compare all over 30mos+ or breeds. Those factors alone will have an impact of the yield received back. Our process is always evolving to be more efficient. We are sorry you will not be a returning customer.
