    I call Kenosha Heating and Cooling for a Furnace repair. The tech came out and identified 2 possible issues. He broke the 1st part he was replacing and stopped. He came back the next day and replaced both parts. I was billed twice for service. The front office, the billing office, the manager, and the tech never seemed to have talked to each other. It was a bad experience and I had to call twice to get the them to refund the double billed amount.

    On February 18th, Kenosha Heating and Cooling was dispatched to the mobile home owned by Mr. ********** Upon completing the initial diagnostic, the technician began performing the necessary repairs.During this process, the ignitor broke. Mr. ********* was immediately informed,and it was explained that the part could not be replaced that same day due to supply houses being closed. Temporary heaters were provided at no additional charge to ensure comfort until the part could be obtained.
    The following morning, on February 19th, the technician returned to the site at 10:00 AM. The repairs were successfully completed, and the unit was restored to normal operation.
    On February 20th, Mr. ********* contacted the billing department and left a message. The service manager promptly returned his call and identified an error in the invoice. It was discovered that the system had double-billed him for the diagnostic fee. This issue was corrected immediately,and a refund was processed to his card that same morning.
    (Additional Note for Consideration: During the service call, the tenant, identified as Mr. ********** stepdaughter, informed the technician that the heating system had not been functioning properly since January. The tenant stated that they had been relying on space heaters and the stove for heating during that time. The technician also observed that the hallway leading to the furnace was obstructed with cat feces, creating a challenging work environment.)

    For the past 2 months I have had the worst business experience of my life. Unfortunately, it was with a company that have came highly recommended. My furnace was missed diagnosed 3 times with the potential of another, if we allowed it. Each time they told me what the issue was regarding my furnace, they recommended a part to fix it, and nice bill came right along with it. Each time they added a part, it didn’t fix the issue. I then asked who is responsible for the inaccurate solutions. I was told “tech support,” a person over the phone that has never been inside my house. They completely dismissed all accountability for their mistakes. After 2 months of misdiagnoses, and the unnecessary purchase of multiple parts, my wife and I cut our losses and asked for them to install a new furnace. They offered to do this at a discounted rate, however, I couldn’t be reimbursed for the unnecessary parts I previously purchased. I asked them leave all the new parts that were purchased and the old parts that were uselessly replaced at the house. They didn’t leave any old parts from the original furnace or new parts that I purchased from them. I’m sure these hold plenty of resale value. To be a small town company, deeply rooted in the community, I expected a better solution and a better experience. I hope we all learn from this and become better decision makers. Lesson learned.
