I was charged a fee that was 100% covered by my insurance and have not received a refund. The staff is rude: I've been laughed at over the phone and hung up on. I was even given fake information when I asked how I could get ahold of a manager. Dental care on 8/24/23 My insurance **vers 1/2 of my dental care per my insurance policy. Because of the amount that I was told that I owed, more than $3000 I requested a total quote from fowardDentale at least 3 times.I paid $1500 and was told that that was 1/2 of what I owed. I requested a total bill because of the amount that they said that I owed because the insurance **verage was supposed to pay half.On the third request they sent something **mpletely foreign from the report from the insurance **.Claims submitted to insurance ** was $4,628. I paid my service to the front desk right after my appointment. I got my insurance company's letter weeks after, which told me that the forward dental accountant overcharged me the out of pocket part about $85. I called the forward dental, they told me that I have to go to their office to get the money back. When I got to the office, they told me that they have not gotten the insurance's payment yet and could not refund me. I called my insurance later the day, my insurance told me that the payment was sent 3 weeks ago. I called the forward dental again, this time they told me that their manager is not in office and they could not refund me. When I call again, they told me that I have to go to their office. I was a patient at the ******************* for 20 years. Suddenly, they closed the office with very little notice. I need a copy of my last statement, and absolutely no one can help me. It's as if I don't exist. Words can't express how disappointed and frustrated I am with Forward Dental. **************** is the worst.Business Response

I started for the first time going to Forward Dental on ****, 2-4, and 8-19-2022. I provide to them both insurance information ********** Blue Shield Federal and GEHA Dental. They started billing insurance companies that I did not have. The first time they call to verify my birth date because they had trouble submitting the information around Spring 2022. Since then it has been a nightmare explaining to them every time I was billed. They first billed Delta Dental and then ********** Dental. I do not have neither. After several attempts they billed the 8-19-2022 correctly but continue to bill me without billing both of my insurances for the other dates. I was patiently contacted them on several occasions to the point that it was ridiculous. My last contacted was around 12-27-2022, the lady got smart with me very unprofessional and said she was going to hang up on me but instead put me on hold without telling me. I called back and spoke to a ********, I assumed the she would finally correct whatever they were messing up. After that experience, I did not want to talk to them anymore. Again, I was billed in January 2023 an the amount $57. During January 2023, I had GEHA contact them with an effort to try to keep them from billing me again and bill my insurances correctly. I still received 2 more bills the last one was in February 2023 for $58 which increased and I do not know why. This last invoice has no detail information as to for what date or for what I am being billed. After reviewing my ********** insurance I do see that my 2-4-2022 has been billed. They have billed GEHA over and over again for the 8-19-2022 visit. I am not sure why because they were paid for 8-19-2022. The 8****-2022 visit was also paid by both insurances and I do not owe any co-pays. do not know what else to do since my attempts to call them and explains have been unsuccessfully, very frustrating and upsetting. Hope you can help, I would have file a complaint sooner but was hoping that it was resolved when **** spoke to them. I had a cleaning schedule for 2-2023 and I left a voice mail canceling and they also did not cancel my appointment and I had to call them again to get it cancelled.Thank you.Business Response

This is the same response, I received on multiply occasions when I contacted the Franklin ************* I want for Forward Dental to bill my insurances correctly and to stop billing me for money I do not owe them. Looking into the billing issue with the same wrong results is not acceptable anymore to me. They need to respond when they have corrected their billing problem and responded in writing that it is corrected.

I have been quite reasonable and patiently waiting for my insurances to be billed correctly for months. I had two options on this complaint resolve or not resolved. So, I chose not because case is still not resolved . Just looking into it has not resolve my multiple calls to the ***************. That statement is what made me do the alternative and contact BBB and here we are now. So yes, I would like for you to do your research and have this complaint resolved promptly and properly.

I just received a bill from an appointment that was LAST APRIL for a fluoride treatment that I told them SPECIFICALLY I did not want, and she kept insisting I should get it because my insurance was going to pay for it. I told her I never had that before and didnt want it, but she was not going to let me out of the chair until I relented. So now 7 months later they send me a bill for it.Business Response

I had a crown build up on 4/21/2022, a crown delivery on 6/6/2022, and an impression for a occlusal (mouth) guard taken on 6/6 2022. I paid for my portion of the crown per my insurance and also the total cost of the occlusal guard, which was $684.00. At that time I was told they would submit to insurance to find out what my actual cost for the guard would be. Per United Healthcare, I should only have to pay $50 for the mouth guard and they have since reimbursed Forward Dental $50. Forward Dental owes me ****** for the mouth guard but they are refusing to refund me my money, not even the $50 they have received from ******************* Their claim for the crown has been submitted and denied about four times and they say that until insurance pays for the crown, they won't pay for me for the mouth guard. I'm concerned that number one, I didn't really need the crown, otherwise, why wouldn't insurance cover it and number two, that they will never refund me the $634 they owe me for the mouth guard. They do not answer their phone and do not return my messages. This is an ongoing problem and when I want to talk to them I have to drive over and stand at the counter until they talk to me.Customer Answer

Five or six months ago I scheduled a cleaning appointment for my husband at the ********** location which is for 9-08-22 (two days from this writing). He is a new patient, but I (******* Richards) am an established patient. Today, 9-06-22 this office sent a message that his upcoming appointment in 2 days must be rescheduled. Apparently, the assigned hygienist is no longer there. When I called this office to reschedule, the soonest date they could give us was 2-03-23!!!! Another 6 months away..WHAT? We did not create the reschedule, THEY did. Now my husband is waiting ***** months for dental attention. way too long. I begged and received no options or help other than a waiting list. At which the person Im speaking with could not tell me how many people are ahead of us or an approximate wait time? I also found that the Forward Dental Group are individually run and have NO connection to any other of the local offices. I had to go down a list of ***** Forward Dental offices to try and find an earlier appointment. VERY UNHAPPY with Forward **********. Note: I was able to find another office to take care of him. Thank you and I will also be removing myself from their establishment.
