    I had a horrible experience visiting the resort February 4th 2022. I ordered a turkey sandwich the night we arrived, and got food poisoning. I woke up at 12 a.m. with dabilitating stomach pain, had diarrhea, and broke out in a cold sweat. I was reluctant to go to the hospital, but my husband encouraged me to go because I was pregnant. Once we got there the doctor confirmed I had food poisoning. We notified the resort of the hospital stay almost immediately after we got back. I didn't feel comfortable eating at the resort again and shortly after getting back we packed our things, and prepared to go home. I don't feel responsible for what happened considering I hadn't ate much that day and know that the food I ate in their eatery, made me sick. I'm now, left with a $3000 bill and though I've contacted the resort several times, along with their insurance company. Nothing has been resolved and now both the insurance company and their public safety division has been unresponsive. Traces of e. coli was found in my lab results at the hospital, but the doctor never ran a stool sample and I didn't know that I needed to request one, so unfortunately I'm unable to take legal action. I'll never visit this resort again! And I'll tell anyone that mentions this resort about my experience. This situation could've turned out a lot worse considering I was pregnant. I'm thankful that my child is fine, but I'm disappointed with how this organization chose to respond.
