      Have been trying to settle a claim with this company for months. I have had nothing but issues getting ahold of the agent and agents supervisor. The incident took place in February 2024 and have yet to receive as much as an email. This company is absolutely the worst company to have to deal with. The fact that you can just not snaswer calls and emails for a 100% at fault from your client is just mind blowing to me. Have yet to pay for fees and dimish in value to a less than 2 year vehicle. I suggest if you have to deal with this company lawyer up and I'd you are considering having them as your insurance good luck ever getting ahold of anyone! Complete joke

      Dear **********

      We are in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed by ***************************** This complaint is in regards additional damages ***************** states she incurred due to this loss. 

      This loss occurred on 4/2/2024 and was reported to Rural Mutal Insurance Company (RMIC) on 5/30/2024. The assigned claims adjuster, *************************, made telephone contact with ***************** on 5/31/2024 at which point she refused to provide a statement on the facts of loss, stated she was going through her own insurance company,Geico, and advised us to contact them to handle the claim.  ****** made contact with ***** on 6/13/2024 and 6/18/2024, confirmed we had accepted liability for the loss and that they were handling Mrs. ******* damages. ****** advised we would wait for the subrogation demand to address Mrs.******* damages. After the initial contact on 5/31/2024 with ****************************** has not received any further phone calls or emails from her. 

      On 8/19/2024 I received a voicemail message from ***************** requesting a call back to discuss her diminished value claim. This is the first contact request I had received from her. ***************** owns a 2022 KIA ******** SX with ****** miles.  The damages to rear of her vehicle were $2,387.93 and ***** confirmed the completion of the repairs.  We are currently working with Geico to resolve their subrogation demand.  I contacted ***************** on 8/21/2024. I advised ***************** that since her vehicle was restored to the condition it was in prior to the accident there was no diminished value claim due to the fact that there was no evidence that she had sustained any loss of value.  *************** stated she would lose value if she traded the vehicle in.  I welcomed her to contact me should she trade the vehicle in soon and value was reduced due to this accident. 

      We believe this matter has been fully resolved.

      On 5/31/2023 I switched to a new insurance company. Cancelled with Rural Mutual and they refuse cancel the policy and stop taking money from my account. On 6/26/2023 they pulled $203.00 from my account. Called and they were supposed to refund it and a partial amount for the previous month. That never came and they are pulling another $208.00 tomorrow (7/24/2023) and never even refunded the other amounts. I want my money back with interest it would have accumulated sitting in my account. This is theft. They were told multiple times to STOP!!

      In response to the complaint, the insured did contact the Rural Mutual agent to cancel the policy on 5/31/2023 as indicated. The Rural Mutual agent does acknowledge that he was not timely in sending in the appropriate cancellation notice.  The request was submitted to the home office on 7/24/2023.  The cancellation was processed and the refund check in the amount of $777.24 was mailed to the named insured on the policy on 7/31/2023.  The Rural agent did contact the insured and spoke with ******* apologizing for the inconvenience and delay in getting the policy cancelled.  ******* appreciated the call and was happy to hear the check was in the mail.
