      I have had a horrible experience with Ryan Brothers Ambulance billing practice, care, and customer service. After the hospital ER established I was having a heart attack they ordered and emergency transport, Ryan Ambulance just showed up, threw me on the truck and drove me to a cardiac unit in another hospital. It was billed as non-emergent, significantly impacting the amount my insurance company would pay. The severity of my heart attack was determined by the Hospital ER attending physician, not their EMTs. This was a life-threatening situation. I asked them to resubmit as an emergency and they refused. Treating my heart attack as a non-emergent situation falls far below the standard of care that I believe anyone would expect during a serious cardiac event and below the reasonable standards of care typically established in this profession. To add insult to injury, there was no negotiating, no discussion, just threw me to collections.
